Los Angeles Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook finished in a four-double against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night.

Westbrook had 20 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists on his return to the Thunder. He also made 10 turnovers.

This performance did not officially become a four-double. A player needs to reach double digits in four of the five main stats categories (points, assists, rebounds, blocks, and steals) to get a four-double.1 This is extremely rare.

There have been only four official quadruple-doubles in NBA history: Nate Thurmond in 1974, Alvin Robertson in 1986, Hakim Olajuwon in 1990, and David Robinson in 1994.

However, Westbrook, the three-double leader in NBA history, has had the most triple-doubles and more than 10 turnovers in the three-point era, with 6 (h/t StatMuse). The next closest player is James Harden, who scored his three-pointer.

Westbrook's sixth unofficial quadruple-double of his career ended in defeat and was expelled.

The Lakers, who didn't have LeBron James (sore ankle) in the second straight game, beat the Thunder with a 26-point lead and lost 123-115. Los Angeles actually had two shooting chances late in the game, but Malik Munch and Cameron Anthony both hit their three-pointers.

After the Thunder extended their lead to five points in the final seconds, Rajon Rondo passed the ball straight inside the line to Darius Bezley. Instead of simply dribbling, Buzzley opted to end the Thunder's victory with two hands of jam. Westbrook, who already had a technical foul, disputed the late-game dunk and let Beziley know about it, leading to the deportation of the point guard.

So Westbrook's first triple-double, unofficial quadruple-double, and removal in Lakers uniform all occurred in the same game.
