Recently, the Provincial Green Food Development Center held a series of activities around standardized production, promoting the organic integration of green prevention and control and green capital generation, and stimulating new impetus for green development.
To build a green food industry chain, Hunan has the advantage of resource endowment. By the first half of this year, the total effective total number of green, organic and geographical indication agricultural products in the province reached 3421, of which 3050 were green foods, ranking second among the central provinces; 245 organic foods, ranking first in the central provinces.
"Every green food and organic food has a complete technical standard system." Li Ming, director of the Provincial Green Food Development Center, introduced that the fruits, vegetables and tea certified by green food are far from the source of pollution, clean water irrigation, organic fertilizers instead of chemical fertilizers, green plant protection natural enemies and insects, and standardized production throughout the process to ensure green quality.
In recent years, while accelerating green food certification, Hunan has created more than 100 green food demonstration bases, with an area of about 5 million mu driven by radiation. Green food bases such as Quanlong Fruit Industry in Xiangxiang, Fairy Vegetables in Xiangtan, and Yunshang Tea Garden in Anhua have demonstrated standardized production and helped farmers increase their incomes with significant benefits.
To create a green food industry chain, the Provincial Green Food Development Center cooperates with the Provincial Cotton Science Institute and the Provincial Plant Protection and Plant Inspection Station to carry out green raw materials tests and create a green raw asset sales docking platform. Ou Gaocai, a provincial plant protection expert, said that the docking of green production materials with green food development bases is conducive to enterprise efficiency, product quality improvement, and farmers' income, which can be described as "killing three birds with one stone".
A few days ago, the base of Xinhuaqu Jiangyuan Shangju Tea Industry and Hunan Sannong Company was awarded the "Hunan Provincial Green Food Production Materials Experimental Demonstration Base". Yiyang Fulilai Company and other 4 enterprises were awarded the "First Batch of Pilot Enterprises for Green Raw Capital in Hunan Province".
