At about 7 a.m. on December 15, the scene of the accident near the Jinyu Huafu Community on Changjiang West Road had been blocked by the police. A fire truck was parked in front of the convenience store involved. From the main entrance of the convenience store, there is no sign of fire, but from time to time you can smell the scorched smell coming from the store.

10 meters east of the convenience store, there is a security guard post, which is manned 24 hours a day. According to a security guard, he smelled a scorched smell in the early hours of the morning, but when he went to the door of the convenience store, he did not find an open fire or hear a cry for help.

One insider said the store had two floors, the second floor was a small attic for storage, and a lot of toilet paper was stacked.

Two left-behind clerks were killed

The fire killed two female clerks in the store. At the scene of the accident, relatives of one of the deceased said that the two clerks were both newly working in the store, a couple, both about 30 years old, and a 5-year-old child. At this point, the relative's eyes burst into tears.

A man who lived nearby said he knew the people in the store very well and came to the store to buy something at 12 o'clock the night before the incident. "At that time, the two of them were fine, still eating instant noodles, and I greeted them, but I didn't expect such a thing to happen later."
