Fletcher told him to arrive at six in the morning, and Andrew, who was late, found that the rehearsal time was nine o'clock. (This detail is very important in the film to differentiate the protagonist from others), so Andrew attends the first rehearsal, and Fletcher tells him that to play music is to relax and enjoy music. When Andrew believed it, because his drum beat was fast and slow, the chair that Fletcher threw over flew over. The difference between before and after made him almost collapse.
Fletcher asked about his family situation between classes and explained to him that you were here for a reason. Have you heard the story of Charlie Parker? After experiencing this, he hated his mentor and reported him at his father's request. And he also learned that one of the best musicians under him, because of long-term depression, chose to kill himself in his apartment.

Only to find that she had a new friend, he walked aimlessly down the street, found that the list of performers in the bar next to him had Fletcher's name on it, and he entered the bar to meet him. Not surprisingly, he lost his school job, and he told the story of Charlie Parker again. He told Andrew that he had a concert at the Vienna Concertgebouw shortly after, but that all his drummers were almost bored. I wanted him to be the drummer. Because he saw the potential for Andrew to be Charlie Parker, his approach to education was indeed extreme. But he finally succeeded, allowing Andrew to break through the mental abuse and finally find himself.
