“Fashion Now！” Chinese Independent Designer Show: Vmajor Fall/Winter 2015 Women's Show
Vmajor's current season is inspired by the surrealist film Zazie Dans le Metro (Zazie on the Metro) from the sixties, which tells the story of Zazie, a country girl who wants to take the subway in Paris, in two days of life in Paris. In the end, the Paris metro that has not been taken once is like a little girl's desire for life, it is in vain, like the subway itself, the empty aisle, as if nothing has been experienced after leaving the station, the only change is time.
Expressing Zazie's emotions from jumping, confusion, to absurdity, etc., this collection can be seen as a contemporary expression of the retro modernist style, where the designer wants to create a lively series that crosses between various elements and silhouettes. Many of the nostalgic colors that appear in the film have been used by the designers in the autumn-winter collection, especially the orange color that Zazie wears in the film. As in the past, Vmajor continues to make a big fuss about fabrics and materials, natural elements such as Art Deco style geometric texture decoration patterns and tree textures from Italy, fabrics treated with high-tech finishing technology, single and double-sided wool with different textures, high-imitation environmentally friendly fur fabrics... A variety of seemingly unrelated materials are cleverly blended together. Clean lines and sporty coats of all lengths and silhouettes are key pieces for this season.
