The story of Boya and Zhong Zi period was first found in "Liezi Tang Qing". Later, historical materials such as "Lü Shi Chunqiu Benwei", "Shi Ji And Bao Ren Shaoqing Shu / Bao Ren An Shu", "Xunzi Persuasion Chapter" and other historical materials have been recorded.

There are various theories about the place where Boya and Zhong Zi met. The shishou version of the "Zhiyin" legend believes that the "Tuning Pavilion", one of the "Ten Views of the Embroidery Forest", is the place where the tuning of the Bo ya fuqin meets the Zhiyin bell period. The original site of the "Tuning Pavilion" is located at the intersection of the Jingjiang South Embankment and the Bayi Causeway on the west side of Theoguan Town, Shishou City, Hubei Province.

Boya, also known as Boya, was born in the Chu kingdom of Yingdu, was a famous violinist and was revered as the "Qin Immortal". Although the crowd praised his piano skills, Bo Ya did not think that he had met anyone who could really understand his piano. Therefore, I am always looking for my own confidant.

Zhong Zi Period, the name emblem, is a woodcutter wearing a bucket hat, a cloak, a flat shoulder, and a plate axe. He is the confidant that Bo Ya has been looking for.

Once, Bo Ya took a boat from Yingdu down the Yangtze River to the east, because the ship was sheltered from wind and rain, and the ship temporarily anchored near Shishou Pass. At night, the wind and rain stop, the river waves ripple, the moon is empty, the sky is high and the earth is wide, and Boya sits in front of the river, playing the piano and singing. At this time, the bell period happens to be nearby, fully engrossed and admired.

Bo Ya played a beautiful melody intended for the mountain, and Zhong Ziqi excitedly said, "Zenya! E'e is like Mount Tai. Bo Ya was astonished: "Could it be that he is my confidant?" Bo Ya then played an elegant melody intended to flow water, and Zhong Ziqi said excitedly: "Zenza! It's like a river. At this point, Bo Ya decided that this listener was the confidant he was looking for.

Therefore, Bo Ya and Zhong Ziqi promoted a long talk on the shore of the Yangtze River, stayed up all night, poured out their heartfelt hearts, met and hated each other late, and from then on they formed a friendship of mo rebellion, a love of life and death, leaving behind the ancient beautiful talk of "high mountain flowing water meets Zhiyin".

Later, Shi Shou named this place "Tuning Mouth". Legend has it that after Zhong Ziqi's death, Bo Ya smashed the piano in front of his grave, and the broken strings became the "Tuning String River", and the "Tuning String Mouth" was the beginning of the Yangtze River flowing to the "Tuning String River".

As early as the Song Dynasty, people built the "Tuning Pavilion" here to commemorate the Boya and Zhongzi periods, and became one of the "Ten Views of the Embroidery Forest".
