At that time, these young people in Dongguan who were engaged in the cause of fine arts, they instinctively felt that the twentieth century was an earth-shaking century, they wanted to go out, not to Nanyang, not to go to Western countries to work and make a living, on the contrary, they wanted to participate in the big era, with their paintbrushes, showing the recognition of the country, because of this, I saw Zhang Songhe's large relief on the spot, very moved.

Later, the Lingnan Art Museum felt that the creativity was very good, and after a period of preparation, it changed from a newspaper to an exhibition.

Although most of the older generation of artists in Dongguan have not stayed in their homeland, their feelings for their hometown are very strong, and the patriotic feelings of these predecessors can be seen from the art works on display. If Dongguan has a history of art, I think that these on display are the main line, there are traditional aspects, there are red genes, and there are also creations in the new period. Some time ago. I watched the "Rong Geng and Dongguan" exhibition at least five or six times, returned to the scene, and thought about why in that era, Dongguan cultural celebrities emerged in batches, and they were greatly influenced by Dongguan cultural genes and Lingnan culture. Since the reform and opening up, artists from all over the country have come to Dongguan, their blood is fused here, and their creative themes are deep. It is a great pleasure to see today's exhibition, the works of these older generations have been presented in our textbooks. But when I communicate with my young colleagues, I find that they don't know much about these cultures, and I feel that Dongguan's history is so rich, how to interpret the rich content to young people? The way of presentation should not be too benchmarking, nor too vulgar, and should be used to interact with young people in a down-to-earth way. I hope to make more platforms for interacting with young people, give them more opportunities, let them get help in art, and let Dongguan's culture spread not only in Dongguan, but also to Guangzhou, Guangdong and even the whole country.
