At the end of the year, the school Winter break and the leader went on a honeymoon trip to Japan and Australia. Japan's focus is on hot springs, shopping, and Michelin-starred restaurants, while Australia's focus is on nature and relaxation. Both places proved to be fun and had their own flair. This article mainly shares with you this trip to Western Australia.
The reason why I chose Western Australia instead of the more popular Sydney and Melbourne was mainly to feel this magical ancient land. While the earth is "ancient", this is especially true in Western Australia. The oldest rock in the world comes from the Jack Hills in Western Australia, aged 4.4 billion years. Beyond this geological wonder, Western Australia has magnificent coastlines, stunning sandy beaches, cute animals and brilliant galaxies. This sheer natural charm of Western Australia is still unforgettable to this day.

THAI First Class + Business Flight Experience
(KIX-BKK-PER)
The trip was in a "kangaroo jump" mode, starting with the U.S. and arriving in Japan, a week in Kansai, and then flying to Australia. This has the advantage of having a buffer zone like Japan, so that the journey will not be overworked.
There is no direct flight from Japan to Western Australia, and the shortest connection is required. Common transit points include Southeast Asia (HKG/SIN/BKK/KUL) and the East Coast of Australia (SYD/BNE/MEL). The main reason why we chose THAI flights this time is because only his family has mileage tickets to release (which is praiseworthy), followed by consideration of catering and service. The final two mileage tickets cost 120,000 UA miles plus a small amount of taxes, KIX-BKK First Class, operated by 747 and BKK-PER Business Class, operated by 787.
Originally, when I bought the ticket, I saw the 744 of the new cabin, but I did not expect to change the model temporarily on the same day, and after boarding the plane, I found that it was the old version of the first-class seat, but fortunately I could lie flat. Compared to the semi-open new suite, this seat is slightly old-fashioned, but well maintained.
The first class is located at the head of the first floor of the 747. Spatially, 1A and 1K at the tip of the nose are the best seats, but privacy is poor.
The seats at the back are arranged in two rows of 1-2-1, with a total of 10 seats in the full first class, so there is also plenty of space. Behind the third row are two toilets, next to the toilets are business class.
This kind of toilet door facing the seat, the design of the first class business without any space seems to be rare now...
The luggage racks are distributed on both sides and do not occupy the space above the middle, which makes the cabin feel more open overall, but the disadvantage is the reduction of storage space.
Flowers, chocolates, and hot towels after seating.
THAI First Class offers noise-cancelling headphones, but the effect is average.
The first class is equipped with a toiletry bag in cooperation with Rimowa, and the plastic hard shell has a texture. But I personally feel that for frequent flyers, hard shells take up too much luggage space, but soft bags like Cathay Pacific Business are more practical – although they may not be so beautiful.
Amenities in the toiletry bag
There is nothing particularly outstanding
The champagne that took off was the famous 2004 Dom Perignon, and the words of praise aside, the taste and layers matched its price. It is worth mentioning that the champagne glass has been cold treated in advance (note the frost at the bottom), and this detail is worth affirming.
Because it is an old cabin, all aspects of the hardware are somewhat outdated. Televisions have to pop out of the table and are not responsive, and screen size and resolution are clearly uncompetitive in today's market. I hope that THAI will complete the cabin renewal as soon as possible.
Below is the menu for the day
The first dish is an appetizer, duck balls, bacon rolls of asparagus, crab meat dumplings, among which the bacon is impressive. To be honest, both bacon and vegetables are versatile, because bacon produces its own oil, so it will bring vegetables an extra aroma. Since discovering this feature of bacon, there is no need to complain that the Us Empire does not sell lard.
This is followed by a first plate of beef and duck, and a second of sashimi. Since it is from Osaka, it is not surprising that sashimi is very fresh.
This was followed by tomato soup. Then came the main meal, the choice of boiled seafood, but compared to the previous meal, the main course is not particularly prominent, on the contrary, I think the sashimi is more delicious. After the main meal is fruit, not much but fresh.
The flight departing at 11 a.m., after eating the afternoon, decided to take a nap, so the flight attendant was invited to make the bed, and the final effect was as follows:
(The yellow blanket is like a dragon robe)
After a good night's sleep, I was going to get to Bangkok soon after, so I didn't take pictures. On the whole, because of the temporary change of the old cabin, the experience of this trip has been slightly discounted, and there is no special sparkle compared with the first class of other families in terms of dining, so it can only be said that the experience is only passed.
The second leg is the 787-piloted BKK-PER, which features the same full-flat seats as CA and UA, also in a 2-2-2 layout. To be fair, setting up a row of six seats on the 787 is a bit cramped, so the new plane is good, but if possible, the 777 is more spacious.
The classic angle before boarding, although I don't quite know why this angle became a classic...
Seating in the first row of Business Class. The first row was deliberately chosen because there is plenty of footroom.

It has become more and more popular
Outside the window, after all, it is TG's base camp, and it is all purple in the eyes.
Business Class menu
Since it is an early morning flight, you can ask for lunch later.
Wait until noon to start the meal service, starting with nuts.
Then everything was served on a plate. I chose green curry beef, and after eating it, I felt that the curry was very spicy and appetizing, but the portion was not enough, and I felt that I was not full.
But it doesn't matter if you don't have enough to eat, because the plane is about to land, so you just have the appetite to eat a big meal. Looking out the window at the vast expanse of land, I felt a little excited in my heart.
After landing, entering the country, carrying luggage, and passing through customs are all in one go, and I have to sigh that few people are good. The first thing after leaving the airport is actually to get online, this time we chose Vodafone's mobile 4G WiFi, 79 Australian dollars to buy 8 G of traffic (rechargeable), and this router belongs to you, theoretically speaking, other countries can also use the local 4G card, think it is quite cost-effective. The defect is that the battery is not used, and a charge can last about 5 hours.
It was easy to get a car after leaving the airport, and although the online renter was Alamo, the actual business at Perth Airport, Alamo, was outsourced to Redspot. Interestingly, Australian vehicles drive on the left, the driver's seat is on the right, and the paddle positions of the wiper and turn signals are also opposite, so it takes a certain amount of time to get used to. If you see a car on the road with a wiper changing lanes, nine times out of ten you are a tourist.
After arriving in Australia, what kind of scenery and interesting stories will there be, and where will there be delicious and fun? Please move on to push another article in this issue.
