Can you tell that this is a runner who removes the plantar fascia and toe flexor tendons?
Mickey was born and raised in Port Macquarie, Australia, the birthplace of the Australian triathlon. Growing up, Mickey fell in love with triathlon. He first competed in triathlon in 2008 and running has always been Mitch's forte – he has been a cross-country athlete since he was 5 years old.

And won state and national championships in his junior year. He won his first professional match in 2010 at the International Triathlon in his hometown of Port Macquarie. In 2011, he participated in the ITF Tour, winning competitions in Australia, Asia and Europe.
However, it seems that the genius of heaven, in 2012, a devastating foot injury crushed Mickey. He suffered severe foot injuries, completely cutting off the plantar fascia and toe flexor tendons.
"It's like giving you a slap, really," Mitch said seriously later, talking about the big injury. "You have to make a decision, I need to examine where my heart is going?" And where am I going? “。 From April 2012 to November 2014, the talented and passionate triathlete gave up racing. During this time, he achieved other goals and began working as a part-time teacher after graduating from college.
One day in November 2014, the once-genius teenager returned.
Strength rehabilitation
Mickey said, "I feel like I have something to prove." Obviously, I have to get better and try again."
In this wonderful comeback, Mitch once again showed his former glory in the Foster Challenge, with a one-minute gap between him and second place. "When you get results like this, all self-doubt disappears," he said.
Since his return from injury in November 2014, Mickey Robbins has given himself the nickname "Mickey Robbins 2.0," while "Mickey Robbins Version 2.0" is a completely different story than before. "I found that I could no longer rely on talent," he said.
"I've always been a good athlete, but I have to train every day to heal my injuries and stay fit." An injury that causes a major setback can give athletes a unique perspective, and Mickey Robbins is no exception.
He explains: "That's why I've been enjoying it a lot these days". "If I hadn't had such a setback, I might have given up. Since that injury, I won't be as grateful for it as I am now."
The beginning of 2015
Mickey finished 3rd in the Challenge in the Philippines,
Won the 2nd place in the Philippines station,
Won the 1st place in the Golden Triangle International Triathlon Competition.
"People think triathletes are all the same kind of people, like we're all bored. But I'm not", said Mitch cheerfully at his home in New South Wales. Everyone thinks they know what kind of person I am. They said, "Oh! You don't drink drinks, do you?" And "So you don't eat McDonald's".
Running with five-time world champion Craig should be every Ironman's ultimate dream
Mickey Robbins is determined to change the narrow stereotype of professional athletes and enjoy the journey when it comes to racing around the world, not just winning. "You can have good game status while having fun and adventure".
With family
"Some places are really destitute. I would spend time with the locals and give them encouragement and their kids would be happy to meet me and see what I was doing. I immersed myself in the local culture and made friends with the locals."
For such a successful athlete, Mickey's easy-going conversation and calm attitude are surprising. But it's also the secret to his success in Asia and Australia, as he's willing to deal with any criticism from the outside world.
Mickey participated in the press conference of Changsha Bank's 2019 Changsha Wangcheng International Triathlon
And this year, Mickey will participate in the Changsha Bank 2019 Changsha Wangcheng International Triathlon, he said: "I am looking forward to traveling through this ancient city with thousands of years of history in China, and I have heard the description of the race level and track by my peers in the previous year: through the Xiangjiang Ancient Town Group, running in a green ecological environment." I can't wait for September 1st to come soon! ”。
I'll be back
In the near future, we will see the return of this former genius king in Changsha again, and I believe that he will uphold his attitude of both tour and race, and enjoy this battle in Changsha.
