On 25-27 October, His Majesty King Philip of Belgium paid a working visit to Denmark. His Majesty King Philip would like to visit to learn about the Danish labour market model, including danish measures to upgrade the skills of the labour force. The King was accompanied by belgian federal and regional labour ministers and representatives of Belgian social partners. The work visit programme includes visits to Danish businesses, meetings with Danish social partners and meetings with job centre partners.

On the 26th, King Philip of Belgium visited the Danish Ministry of Employment and Gender Equality.

Peter Hummelgaard Thomsen, Danish Minister of Employment and Gender Equality, said: "I and the Danish government are delighted that His Majesty the King of Belgium is visiting Denmark, which I think is a recognition of our unique labour market model. Social partners take responsibility, employment flexibility, state investment in education and active labour market policies, the Danish model with a solid financial safety net can do something very special. I am proud that we can share our good experiences, but I also expect the government to be inspired by other aspects as well." ”

King Philip visited the Danish Parliament on the morning of the 27th. Peter Hummelgaard Thomsen (Peter Hammergrad Thomson) Speaker received King Philip.

King Philip (full name Philippe Leopold Louis Marie) was born on 15 April 1960. He was the eldest son of King Albert II of Belgium and Queen Paula, who announced his abdication on 21 July 2013 to Philippe, then 53. Philippe ascended the throne on 21 July 2013, the national day of Belgium that year, and Philippe was the seventh king since Belgium's independence in 1830.

Philippe studied at the Royal Military Academy of Belgium from 1978 to 1981. After that, he went to Colleges and Universities in the United Kingdom and the United States for further study, majoring in political science. Since August 1993, he has been the Honorary Chairman of the Council of the Bureau of Foreign Trade and The Honorary Chairman of the Federal Commission for Sustainable Development. On June 21, 1994, he was sworn in as a senator of the Federal Senate.

Philippe visited China as Crown Prince in 2004, 2007, 2008 (attending the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games), 2010 (attending the Belgian National Pavilion Day at the Shanghai World Expo), 2011 (attending the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Belgium), and visiting China for the first time as king in June 2015.
