On October 27, 2021, in order to further enrich the old age of the elderly in the community, exercise the flexibility of the elderly in the community, improve their quality of life, and promote their community participation, on the morning of October 26, the horticultural experience group organized by the Party Committee of Shanxia Community, the Party and Group Service Center of Shanxi Community, and the Shenzhen East-West Social Work Service Society with the theme of "Enjoy Gardening, Happy Life" was held as scheduled in the multi-functional room on the first floor of the Party and Group Service Center (Community Workers' Home) in Shanxia Community, and 10 community elders participated in the group.
On the day of the event, the elderly who participated in the activity came to the multi-purpose room of the community staff home early. After the start of the activity, the social worker first briefly introduced the process and precautions of the activity to everyone, and then, the start of the "name skewer" game promoted the communication and understanding between the group members, and also enlivened the atmosphere of the scene. In a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, the social worker guided the team members to actively participate in the discussion and completed the formulation of the group contract; after that, the social worker gave everyone a preliminary understanding of the characteristics and growth environment of succulents through PPT and video. After the social worker demonstrated the cultivation of succulents, the team members could not wait to get started and began to devote themselves to the cultivation of succulents, and an hour later, pots of succulents were presented to everyone. At the end of the event, the team members shared their planting experience and experience with each other, and the scene was full of strong harmony and greenery.
It is reported that the group has a total of five contents, mainly including "there is a 'garden' gathering, the bud of life, vigorous vitality, fragrance overflowing, sending love with leaves", etc., the activity began on October 26 and lasted until October 30.
