The Guidelines for Sustainable Planning of Chengdu Future Science and Technology City were officially released

On October 26, the 5th International High-level Forum on Sustainable Urban Development and the Supporting Conference of the Belt and Road Sustainable Cities Alliance, sponsored by the China Center for Urban and Small Town Reform and Development, UN-Habitat and the Chengdu Municipal People's Government, were held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, under the guidance of the National Development and Reform Commission.

At the main forum, UN-Habitat and Chengdu High-tech Zone jointly issued the Guidelines for Sustainable Planning of Chengdu Future Science and Technology City, showing the world a future science and technology city with a compatible and symbiotic "people, city, environment and industry".

According to reports, the Guidelines provide guidance and reference for Chengdu Future Science and Technology City in terms of urban form and function, low-carbon and efficient transportation, self-sufficient and clean energy and intelligent operation and management based on the latest concept of sustainable development at home and abroad, combined with the actual situation.

"Chengdu Future Science and Technology City actively practices the concept of green and low-carbon cities, and through the integration of science and technology and nature, city and countryside, modern and traditional, it is turning the city into a happy home that integrates landscape and architecture, and harmoniously coexists with man and nature." The relevant person in charge of the Chengdu Future Science and Technology City Development Service Bureau said, "We have integrated the concept of ecological priority and green development into the whole process of planning, construction and management, and compiled the urban planning and construction guidelines for beautiful and livable parks, which will continue to promote the natural and orderly growth of Chengdu Future Science and Technology City." ”
