Russian President Vladimir Putin has reportedly asked Gazprom to begin planning to increase gas reserves at underground storage facilities in Europe after it has completed the delivery of gas to Underground Storage Facilities in Russia. Since the beginning of this year, the price of natural gas in Europe has soared 6 times, rising nearly 5 times in just one and a half months this autumn, resulting in a 3-fold increase in electricity prices in parts of Europe.
