Located about 11 kilometers northeast of Turpan City, Grape Valley is a canyon under the Flame Mountain, about 8 kilometers long from north to south, about 2 kilometers wide from east to west, the valley is narrow and gentle; on the west bank of the valley, the cliffs are facing each other, the cliffs are steep, like a barrier to protect this green space; in the canyon, surrounded by streams, the water quality is pure, providing sufficient water for the growth of melons and fruits.
We arrived in Turpan in late June, the grapes were not yet ripe, but the trellises were covered with dense bunches of grapes, which was spectacular. Turpan's unique climate makes the grapes produced here as high as 20-24% sugar, ranking among the highest in the world. Raisins made from seedless white grapes, with a sugar content of up to 60%, are regarded as the treasures of grapes.
Xinjiang is located in the northwest inland region of China, far from the sea, and has a continental climate. There are many sunny days, less rainfall, the climate is very dry, and the snow and ice in the mountains melt, bringing valuable water to crops such as melons, fruits, vegetables and so on. Sufficient sunlight strengthens the photosynthesis of melons and fruits, which is conducive to the accumulation of nutrients.
Low temperature at night, the respiration of crops is weakened, reducing the consumption of nutrients, such environmental and climatic conditions are very conducive to the growth of crops such as melons and fruits, therefore, the melon fruits and vegetables here grow particularly well, and the melons and fruits are also particularly sweet.
