A few days ago, sponsored by the Guangzhou International Art Fair and the New Express Newspaper "Collection Weekly +", undertaken by the Art Times Art Museum, and co-organized by the Wenzhou-Kean University Education Development Foundation, the "Calligraphy and Painting Environment - Fang Jiong Calligraphy and Painting Works Exhibition" was grandly opened in Guangzhou, and this exhibition exhibited more than 50 calligraphy and painting works by Mr. Fang Jiong, a famous calligraphy and painting artist and president of the Sino-AMERICAN Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute of Wenzhou-Kean University, whose romantic and flowing ink art brought the spiritual nourishment of traditional Chinese culture to the audience. After the speech session, more than 40 calligraphy and painting works by Fang Jiong were auctioned at the exhibition site, and some of the paintings will be donated to education. It is understood that Fang Jiong was born in an artistic family in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, his father and uncle are great artists, he studied calligraphy and painting with his father at the age of 5, and Fang Jiekan, who worshiped Jinshi at the age of 10, laid a good foundation of pen and ink skills and artistic accomplishment from an early age, and had a high attainment in calligraphy, painting and even Western painting. In 1961, Fang Jiong was transferred to the Wenzhou Institute of Arts and Crafts to work under Mr. Su Mingshuo, and Deyuan became the vice president of the Wu Changshuo Art Research Association, the vice president of the Lin Fengmian Art Research Association, and the disciple of the famous national calligrapher and painter Lin Ximing, who was deeply influenced by them in the style of calligraphy and painting.
