On August 28th, sponsored by Guangzhou International Art Fair and New Express Magazine "Collection Weekly +", organized by Art Times Art Museum, and co-organized by Wenzhou-Kean University Education Development Foundation, "Book Rhyme · Painting Scene - Fang Jiong Calligraphy and Painting Works Exhibition" was grandly opened in Guangzhou, this exhibition exhibited more than 50 calligraphy and painting works by artist Fang Jiong, and his romantic and flowing ink art brought the spiritual nourishment of traditional Chinese culture to the audience. At the same time, the exhibition site also carried out the auction of Mr. Fang Jiong's works, conveying the harmonious and beautiful concept of caring for the society.

This exhibition is full of elites from all walks of life. The opening ceremony was opened by curator Chen Weizuo, who gave a high evaluation of Fang Jiong's calligraphy and painting artworks, emphasizing that the style of his works was elegant and vulgar, full of pen and ink interest, and had the atmosphere of literati painting with literary heart, poetry and painting meaning, which was the inheritance and expression of traditional Chinese art in contemporary times.

Yan Xiaopeng, member of the Party Committee and vice president of Wenzhou-Kean University, shared Fang Jiong's deeds of spreading Chinese culture and art at the scene, saying that Fang Jiong has lived in the United States for more than 20 years and has been committed to disseminating Chinese art and culture to the world, spreading Chinese voices overseas in the form and symbol of art, so that Chinese art and Western art can collide and exchange at close range, and at the same time carry out Chinese calligraphy and painting appreciation lectures, tell the charm of Chinese painting and calligraphy art, and promote the exchange of Chinese and American cultures.

Fang Jiong, the protagonist of this exhibition, also shared his artistic journey on stage. Fang Jiong loved traditional Chinese culture since childhood, at the age of 10, he embarked on the road of art, accompanied by calligraphy and painting all his life, especially liked to paint bamboo in the subject matter of painting, and believed that the spirit of bamboo perseverance, self-improvement and indomitable perseverance was worthy of admiration, and he also hoped to be able to take this opportunity to communicate and discuss with artists in Lingnan.

After the speech session, more than 40 calligraphy and painting works by Fang Jiong were auctioned at the exhibition site, and some of the paintings will be donated to education. The exquisite works of art and special auction significance have attracted a large number of buyers and collectors to bid enthusiastically, and most of the works have been successfully traded.

Fang Jiong was born in wenzhou, Zhejiang province, his father, uncle are great artists, he studied calligraphy and painting with his father at the age of 5, and at the age of 10, he worshiped Jinshi everyone Fang Jiekan as a teacher, and laid a good foundation of pen and ink skills and artistic accomplishment from an early age, and had a high attainment in calligraphy, painting and even Western painting. In 1988, Fang Jiong settled in the United States, and on the basis of the art world to achieve diversified cross-border, committed to using culture and art to promote Sino-US education, business, culture and other aspects of exchanges and cooperation, in the business, education, cultural circles have a huge influence. It is worth mentioning that in the more than 20 years since settling in the United States, Fang Jiong has always been enthusiastic about spreading Chinese art and culture in various ways, as Yan Xiaopeng said at the scene, Fang Jiong has built a bridge for cultural exchanges between China and the United States.
Today, Fang Jiong has reached the age of 81, but he still has not put down his pen and ink, and continues to explore, pursue and disseminate the way of Chinese art, which can be called an admirable artist with both virtue and art.
