Hello everyone, the short video of the other day shared with the friends, in ancient times we now have two counties in beihai city, there are two prefecture-level administrative units, that is, the ancient state, and Beihai in the late Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China is not a small fishing village, it is already a province directly under the central government of Guangdong Province, many people do not believe.

During the Republic of China period, Beihai was a municipality under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province
So what's going on? Today, the gourmet jun will tell you about this period of history, the previous video also told the friends, after the unification of Qin Shi Huang, the land of Baiyue was divided into Guilin County, Nanhai County and Xiang County, and the current Hepu County belongs to the jurisdiction of Xiang County.
Qin Shi Huang unified the Lingnan region
After Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty pacified South Vietnam, he demarcated the place between Nanhai County and Xiang County, and set it up as Hepu County, and also established Hepu County. Then during the Two Han and Three Kingdoms Wei and Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties periods, the approximate jurisdiction of Hepu County did not change much.
Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty pacified the State of Nanyue and assigned Hepu Commandery (合浦郡).
Then we will start with the Sui and Tang Dynasties today, the ninth year of the Sui Kai Emperor, the Kai Emperor is the era name of the Sui Wen Emperor Yang Jian, the ninth year of the Kai Emperor is 589 AD, the Sui Wen Emperor merged Hepu County into YueZhou, and then in the first year of Daye, Daye is the sui Emperor's year of daye, that is, in 605 AD, the Sui Emperor changed the Yue Prefecture that annexed Hepu County to Lu Prefecture, and Lu Prefecture merged with Hezhou to be collectively called Hezhou, Hezhou is today's Leizhou Peninsula, and soon after Hezhou was changed to Hepu County, and the county rule was subordinated to Yangzhou in Hepu County.
Emperor Taizong of Tang also made Yue Prefecture a prefecture of Lianzhou
Then in the Tang Dynasty Tang Gaozu period Hepu County was renamed Yuezhou, Tang Taizong Li Shimin period, Yuezhou was changed to Lianzhou, so in the Tang Taizong period Lianzhou title officially replaced Hepu County into our historical stage of the list. The administrative system implemented in the Tang Dynasty was the Dao or Governor's Office Ofs to make the prefectures and counties below.
In the late Tang Dynasty, Lingnan was divided into two provinces
The Lingnan Province that we know better is the current northern region of Liangguang and Vietnam.
Lingnan West Road
In the late Tang Dynasty, there were 4 clan towns in Lingnan Province, and now the whole territory of Guangdong Province is probably one fan town, and Guangxi is divided into three fan towns, and Lingnan Road is divided into two lanes, Lingnan Province, east and west, and the two Guangdong things are derived from Yubi.
Therefore, according to the administrative region at that time, Lianzhou was probably a substitute name for Hepu County, and Hepu County was under the jurisdiction of Lianzhou, and the prefecture seat of Lianzhou was in Hepu County.
Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms of the Southern Han Dynasty
In the period of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Of Feudal Towns, the emperor of the South Vietnamese state, Liu Yan was the history of Fengzhou at the end of the Tang Dynasty, Fengzhou is today's Fengkai County, Guangdong, Liu Qian's son Liu Yan unified Lingnan, the generals who guarded northern Vietnam launched a rebellion, and since then northern Vietnam has been independent, and the Song Dynasty has not recovered several crusades. During the Southern Han Dynasty, the area of rule was probably today's Liangguang region and Hainan Island.
Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms during the Period of the South Vietnamese Kingdom
It is worth mentioning here that from the Western Han Dynasty to the end of the Tang Dynasty, the Vietnamese side was called Jiaotong County, which was the same level as our Hepu County.
Changle Prefecture of the Southern Han Dynasty
In 917 AD, that is, the Southern Han Dynasty Emperor Liu Yan demarcated Bodian and Zero Green in the territory of the original Hepu County, and there were three counties in Yanchang to set up Changle Prefecture, Bodian and Yanchang County were roughly located in the northeast and southeast of today's Hepu County, Zero Green County should be the southwest of today's Lianjiang River, because there is still a place called Linglu Village, and the prefecture of Changle Prefecture at that time was in the territory of Shikang Town, Hepu County.
Southern Han Dynasty Video Lianzhou
The jurisdiction of Lianzhou is Hepu County, Fengshan County, cailong and Dalian counties, and the station of Lianzhou is in Hepu County. Fengshan County should be in today's Lingshan County, Qinzhou, and Cailong County is today's Pubei, because there is a Cailong Cave in Pubei, and it is precisely because of this that it is named Cailong County. At that time, Dalian County was the area around quzhang and gongguan today, quzhang was the hinterland of Dalian Mountain, and the mansion was at the foot of Dalian Mountain. Here first to tell you how the name of the town of Gongguan in Hepu County came from, in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, the imperial court wanted to set up a county around the Da lian mountain to send officials down to investigate, first of all, under the Da Lian Mountain to build a house for officials to live, the official station is called the gongguan, so the current gongguan town is also named. It was also during this period that Liu Zhen, the lord of the Southern Han Dynasty, also set up Meichuandu in Haimen, which is today's Lianzhou Town, to manage the harvesting of pearls.
Hepu Wenchang Pagoda
Therefore, we know that during the Southern Han Dynasty, Hepu County was no longer there, and changle prefecture and Lianzhou that appeared at this time were administrative regions of the same level, Changle Prefecture governed three counties in the southeast direction, while Lianzhou governed 4 counties in the northwest direction, and Changle Prefecture was ruled by Shikang Town in hepu County today. The seat of state administration of Lianzhou was in present-day Hepu County.
During the Northern Song Dynasty, Changshachang Shikang Shunta Village
In the Northern Song Dynasty, during the reign of Zhao Kuangyin, the grandfather of the Song Dynasty, that is, in 971 AD, the Meichuan River specially set up for pearl mining was abolished, and a year later, the three counties of Fengshan, Cailong, and Dalian, which were originally under the jurisdiction of Lianzhou, were merged into Hepu County, and it was also in the same year that Changle Prefecture was also abolished, and the three counties belonging to Changle Prefecture were merged into Shikang County. At this time, Changle Prefecture disappeared and became Shikang County, and the four counties under the jurisdiction of the previous Lianzhou Prefecture also became one county, that is, Hepu County.
At this time, Shikang County and Hepu County were of the same level, both subordinate to Lianzhou, that is, in the same year, the station of Lianzhou was led from Hepu County to ChangshaChang, which is the Shunta Village of Shikang Town, Hepu County today. Therefore, I am not wrong to say that Shikang Town has been the governor of Changle Prefecture and Lianzhou prefecture before.
Haimen Town is the town of Lianzhou in Hepu
About ten years later, in the eighth year of the Taiping Revival, that is, in 983 AD, Lianzhou was abolished and changed to the Taiping Army, which was also the administrative unit of the Northern Song Dynasty, and the Taiping Army was stationed in Haimen Town, which is today's Lianzhou Town of Hepu County. Taiping Xingguo was also the era name of Zhao Kuangyi, the younger brother of Zhao Kuangyin, the grandfather of the Song Dynasty. In the same year, Hepu County was abolished and merged into Shikang County, and at this time the Taiping Army only had jurisdiction over Shikang County, of course, this Shikang County also included Hepu County.
Guangnan West Road of the Northern Song Dynasty
It is worth mentioning here that during the Song Taizong period, Lingnan Road was successively changed to Guangnan Road, and then changed to Guangnan East Road and Guangnan West Road, referred to as Guangdong and Guangxi, which were also officially separated.
Then came the song zhenzong Zhao Heng period, this Song Zhenzong Zhao Heng was also the son of Song Taizong Zhao Guangyi, the younger brother of Song Taizu Zhao Kuangyin. Emperor Zhenzong of Song withdrew the Taiping Army and changed it to Lianzhou, and then separated Hepu County from Shikang County, which was called Lianzhou Hepu County during this period. Lianzhou Hepu County administered Shikang County and Hepu County, and the seat of Lianzhou Hepu County was also moved back to Haimen Town, which is today's Hepu Lianzhou Town. However, during the Northern Song Dynasty, this Lianzhou Hepu County could not be compared with the Hepu County of the Han Dynasty.
Haimen Town
During the reign of Kublai Khan, the founding emperor of the Yuan Dynasty, Lianzhou Hepu Commandery was changed to Lianzhou Road Pacification Division, and later changed to Lianzhou Governor's Palace, as well as Lianzhou Road. Lianzhou Road has jurisdiction over Shikang and Hepu counties. The name Hepu County has since completely withdrawn from history.
Ming Dynasty Zhu Yuanzhang Lianzhou capital
Then in the early years of the Ming Dynasty, Guangxi Province was changed to Guangxi Chengcheng Envoy Department, and Guangdong first separated from Jiangxi Province to become Guangdong Province, and then set up Guangdong Chengcheng Envoy Department. The administrative system of the Ming Dynasty was fuzhou county, the prefecture was smaller than the prefecture, of course, some were directly subordinate to the prefecture, such as Qinzhou under the jurisdiction of the Lianzhou capital.
In the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang changed lianzhou road to lianzhou capital, which also had jurisdiction over Shikang County and Hepu County, and Lianzhou capital belonged to the Guangdong Cloth Political Envoy Department, and after about six years, Zhu Yuanzhang demoted Lianzhou capital to a prefecture, abolished Hepu County, and Lianzhou had jurisdiction over Shikang county. In another seven or eight years, Zhu Yuanzhang promoted Lianzhou to a prefecture, re-established Hepu County, and Qin County was re-established as a prefecture, with Lianzhou Prefecture administering Qinzhou, Hepu County, Lingshan County, and Shikang County.
Shikang Town
Then in the late Ming Dynasty, during the Chenghua period, that is, in 1471 AD, Shikang County was abolished and merged into Hepu County, and it is worth mentioning here that in the third year of the Ming Dynasty, Shikang County was attacked by peasant troops, and Shikangzhi County LuoShen was also magnificent.
Shi Kang Ming Dynasty Luo Gong Ancestral Hall
Luo Shen is a good knowledge county, but also the most miserable official in the history of Lianzhou Capital, and I will talk to you about the story of Luo Shen of Shi Kangzhi County later. Four years after Luo Sheng's heroic performance, Shikang County has officially withdrawn from the historical stage.
Ming Dynasty Luo Gong Ancestral Hall in Zhixian County, Shikang County
Speaking of this, Hepu County, Changle Prefecture, Lianzhou Prefecture, Lianzhou Prefecture, Shikang County, Hepu County, what is their relationship, who cares who, everyone should be relatively clear about it, I don't know if everyone understands it, if you don't understand it, listen to it a few more times.
Today's content will talk to you so much, next time I will share with you how the two Guangzhou are separated, as well as Lianzhou capital and Qinzhou, Qin County and Hepu County, as well as our Republic of China Guangdong Province municipality Beihai City, and Hepu County Beihai Commune, we will stay next time to talk about.
