At the end of the Qing Dynasty, a modern Chinese democratic revolutionary, a member of the Chinese League, and a close friend of Sun Yat-sen, he sent many students to the Whampoa Military Academy. He introduced progressive youth to the Yan'an Liberated Area and sent several daughters to Yan'an. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he served as a member of the People's Government of Henan Province, vice chairman of the Consultative Committee of the People's Congress of All Walks of Life in Henan Province, vice chairman of the First to Third CPPCC Committee of Henan Province, chairman of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, and a member of the Third National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Ren Zhiming started with the League, which was reorganized into the Kuomintang, and Ren Zhiming remained the head of the branch. In response to the Northern Expedition, he took the initiative to cooperate with the Communists and organized the Henan Provincial Party Department in Kaifeng as a women's minister. When the Northern Expeditionary Army arrived in Kaifeng, Chiang Kai-shek reorganized the Party Headquarters of Henan Province and left Yu to serve as secretary of the Eighteenth Division. Due to the suppression of the Communist Party of the Eighteenth Division, Ren Zhiming resigned indignantly and returned to his hometown to establish the "Now is a Middle School", serving as the chairman and principal. The "Now is a Middle School" carried out the student movement and the women's movement, established the Communist Youth League and party organizations, and became the main stronghold of the Chinese Communist Party's activities under the xincai underground. He also personally served as the director of the Anti-Enemy Support Association, actively developed and strengthened the underground organization of the CPC, and transformed and enriched the mass organization. The Kuomintang county party department used several occasions to arrest revolutionary teachers and students, but All of them were rescued by Ren Zhiming.

When the War of Resistance Broke Out, Ren Zhiming went to Xinxiang and served as a senator of the Headquarters of the Northern Henan Division to participate in the War of Resistance. In the spring of 1938, he was transferred to the post of director of the Rear Guard Office of the Thirteenth Army. Taking advantage of his position, he repeatedly returned to Xincai to mobilize and introduce a large number of progressive young people to Yan'an to participate in the revolution. "Whoever went to Yan'an, he sent a military vehicle to escort him through the area ruled by Hu Zongnan and went straight to Yan'an." Zhang Yi, who was in power in Shaanxi at that time, regarded him as an elder and knew and did not stop it. There were more than 370 young people who went to Yan'an with his help. He personally sent his daughter Ren Jun to Yan'an to participate in the revolution, when his second daughter Ren Rui and his granddaughters Sun Weishi and grandson Sun Yang had already been introduced to Yan'an by him. When he was in Yan'an, Mao Zedong held a welcome banquet for him, and Mao Zedong said: "Mr. Ren has come from thousands of miles from Jiang's jurisdiction, and we welcome you very much!" Elder Ren replied, "The air in Jiang Guan District is too dirty, so I came to Yan'an to breathe in the fresh air." Mao Zedong also said: "Your family is reunited in Yan'an, which is called 'red family!'" It's just that Sun Bingwen (Ren Rui's husband, Ren Zhiming's son-in-law, killed by the Kuomintang in 1927) died too early! Elder Ren replied, "For the sake of the revolutionary cause, it is not hesed to sacrifice your personal life!" If I hadn't grown old, I would have joined your Eighth Route Army!" Ren Zhiming greatly admired Mao Zedong's strategy and tactics, and Mao Zedong also gave him a copy of "On Protracted War."

After being arrested in February 1941. Shang Zhen, former chairman of the Henan Provincial Government, Liu Jixue, chairman of the Henan Provincial Senate, Fang Ce, director of the Henan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, and Lu Dangping, director of the Department of Education, all released Tang Enbo, then governor of Henan Province, and became Tang Enbo's guests, giving him the title of "Senior Senator."

In the autumn of 1947, Xincai County was liberated, when the People's Liberation Army continued to move south, leaving no regular troops. Wang Dafu was appointed. The Kuomintang and other reactionaries went around causing trouble and sabotage. In order to protect the safety of the people's property, Ren Zhiming, who is nearly eighty years old, raised more than 40 guns, personally served as the head of the city defense committee, led the masses to arm, and waged a fierce struggle against the enemy.

Ren Zhiming persuaded his student, Liu Jixue, president of the provincial senate, to side with the people. In the autumn of 1948, Zhang Yi was appointed chairman of the Henan Provincial Government, and he wrote to Zhang Yi that "we must not be enemies of the Communist Party to the end, and abandoning the dark and casting light is the way to live." After that, he also asked Liu Jixue to promote his uprising. Zhang Yi, under the efforts of the Communist Party in many ways, finally led an uprising.

Eighty-year-old Ren Zhiming went to Beiping and lived in the home of Feng Youlan, the third son-in-law of Tsinghua University. Zhou Enlai personally went to visit him, and Zhu De also took him to Zhongnanhai to talk freely. Zhou Enlai also instructed Henan Province to arrange his work and life as soon as possible. In 1950, the Consultative Committee of the People's Congress of All Walks of Life in Henan Province was established, and Ren Zhiming was elected vice chairman. He also served as a provincial people's representative and was elected as a member of the provincial government at successive provincial people's congresses. Later, he became the chairman of the Henan Provincial Committee of the "Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee".

When the old man was 80 years old, he learned that "Henan starved a large number of peasants to death" during the three years of difficulty, and he did not sleep for several nights, secretly weeping. He went to the provincial leaders to report that fortunately, he was old and no one had come to criticize him. He also wrote to Zhou Enlai to report the disaster. When he went to Beijing to attend the CPPCC session, he had a special interview with Deng Yingchao.

After the founding of New China, Ren Zhiming successively served as vice chairman of the Consultative Committee of the People's Congress of All Walks of Life in Henan Province, vice chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
