Pingliang Longyin Temple "Dragon Spring"
Gansu Pingliang Longyin Temple is located on the longwei mountainside on the left side of Pingliang Kuntong Mountain. It is backed by green mountains, faces jingshui, and is 3.5 kilometers away from Pingliang City. Longyin Temple, formerly known as "Lingyin Temple" and "Xingjiao Temple", was founded in the Han and Tang Dynasties. Later, the Ming, Qing, Republic of China and other generations have been expanded.
Longyin Temple is a secret place. In 755, the "Anshi Rebellion" broke out, and Tang Xuanzong Li Longji was expelled from Chang'an by An Lushan.
It was at the Longyin Temple that Li Heng, who was still the prince of the Tang Dynasty at the time, went north to collect the remnants of the defeated generals and plan the major event of ascending the throne as emperor and pacifying the world. soon
Longyin Temple, where Tang Suzong took refuge.
The mountain is not high, there is water and spirit, the temple is not big, there is a dragon is named; Longyin Temple, there is water and dragon!
To this day, in the grottoes on the back hill of Longyin Temple, there are also grottoes that record the story of Tang Suzong's coming to the temple, and it can be said that the fate of the entire Tang Dynasty began to turn from here, and after the "Anshi Rebellion" reached its peak, the Tang Dynasty continued for another 150 years.
According to the "Chronicle of Pingliang City", Longyin Temple was originally named Xingjiao Temple. There are four springs on the mountainside and foot of Longwei Mountain, with long streams in winter and summer, drought and flooding, and the water level has been stable for thousands of years. There is also a "Linghu" on the mountain, also known as "Dragon Spring", the spring water gushes out from between a milk stone gap, and after encountering the cliff, it spins and scatters, resembling a jade plate sieve bead, known as the "Dragon Spring Drop Bead" in ancient times, which is one of the eight scenery of Pingliang.
Tang Su Zongdian (Li Hengqi)
In the Ming Dynasty, king Pingliang Han "enshrined Longyin Temple as incense and placed fields as temple products", and at the end of the Ming Dynasty, it was destroyed by soldiers. During the Kangxi Dynasty of the Qing Dynasty, an old lady surnamed Ma could not bear the decline of the Longyin Temple, so she became a fortune for ten years, raised tens of thousands of copper coins, and rebuilt the Longyin Temple.
It's just a pity that the "Dragon Spring Dripping Pearl" landscape, which once made Pingliang people proud, now only sees the dragon's mouth empty, no clear water gushing, and the spring water drys up to the bottom. The forest paths around the temple are overgrown with grass and cobwebs, and no one has stepped on them for a long time.
Standing next to the Pingliang Museum overlooking the Longyin Temple, you can only see a green tree on the mountain, you can't see any buildings of the temple at all, Tang Prince Li Heng fled all the way to the west, the reason why he chose linyin temple to rest, is also because it is hidden and difficult to find.
Standing in front of Longyin Temple, the magnificent Pingliang Museum can be seen from all sides, and the Longyin Temple Wetland Park is in full swing. Maybe in a year or two, the wetland park will be completed, the Longyin Temple will also be repaired, reopened to tourists, the intersection will set up eye-catching signs, the bumpy dirt road will become a hardened road, the dry Dragon Spring will resurface, and the thousand-year-old temple will reproduce the bustling scene...
