So why did Yuan Shu dare to claim the title of emperor, and how strong was the lineup of forces under his hands?
Let's first take a look at how much luxury yuan Shu's lineup really has? In 197, Yuan Shu's subordinates should be divided into three major forces: Yuan Shu's forces and alliance forces, and Sun Ce forces.

1. Yuan Zhuo
Yuan Zhuo,Also known as Yuan Shu (陳陳卿), was born in the "Yuan Clan of Chen County", and was initially used by Yuan Shu, who consulted yuan shu every time he consulted yuan zhuo, Yuan Zhuo always discussed his own propositions in a dignified manner, and Yuan Shu could not refute it, but still respected him and did not dare not treat him with courtesy. After throwing Lü Bu. In the third year of Jian'an (198), Lü Bu was defeated by Cao Cao and killed by him. Yuan Zhuo turned to follow Cao Cao.
2. Yan Xiang
Yan Xiang, the master book of Yuan Shu. In the second year of Emperor Xingping's reign (195), when Yuan Shu, who was holding a jade seal, wanted to be proclaimed emperor, he asked his subordinates, and only Yan Xiang quoted the story that King Wen of Zhou, although he owned two-thirds of the world, still advised Yin to be a subject. It was not adopted.
3. Yang Hong
Yang Hong, general of the Yuan Shu Department at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. After Yuan Shu's death, Yang Hong and others returned their desires to Sun Ce, and Houlujiang Taishou Liu Xun intercepted and turned them back to Yu Xun.
4. Chen Ji
Chen Ji (陈紀), a general of yuan shubu at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, a native of Danyang County, Yangzhou, served as the Taishou of Jiujiang. Later, he was defeated at the Battle of Cao Yuan Shouchun and beheaded by Cao Cao.
5. Chen Lan
Chen Lan (陈蘭), a native of Lujiang (鲁江, in modern Lujiang, Anhui), was a figure in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. Originally a general of Yuan Shu's department, he rebelled against Yuan Shu and fell into the grass as Kou. Later, Cao Cao's troops beheaded Zhang Liao.
6. Han Siam
Han Xian was a general in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. Initially a general of the White Polish Army in the remnants of the Yellow Turban Rebellion, he was later recruited by the Xingyi general Yang Feng, who was the former general of the White Polish Army, and led the army to escort the Han Xiandi Emperor to Luoyang in the east. After taking pride in his own efforts and disrupting the government, emperor Xian took over Xu County for Cao Cao, Han Xian lost power and defected to Yuan Shu with Yang Feng.
7. Han Yin
Han Yin, envoy of Yuan Shu. If you want to tie lü bu as a helper, it is for the son Sobu woman, Bu Xuzhi. The dispatch made Han Yin announce the bill with an usurpation and ask for a woman. Pei Xiang Chen Jue feared the art and Bu married, then Xu and Yang hecong, will be difficult for the country, so they said Bu. 8. Ji Ling
Ji Ling (紀灵), a general under Yuan Shu at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, was very brave and fierce, and had been ordered to lead an army to attack Liu Bei of Xiaopei, and withdrew his troops under the mediation of Lü Buyuanmen's shooting.
9. Thunder thin
Lei Bo, date of birth and death unknown, was originally a general under Yuan Shu at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Leaving Yuan Shu, who called the empress dowager faint and extravagant, he occupied Mount Song with Chen Lan as a mountain thief. Later, he attacked the defeated Yuan Shu and snatched the treasure.
10. Happy
Le Yi, while Yuan Shu was vigorously promoting the Seventh Army to attack Xuzhou, served as a liaison officer as a war marshal. However, Yuan Shujun was unfortunately defeated, and he was also arrested by Cao Cao's army in Shouchun and beheaded.
11. Li Feng
Li Feng, General of yuan shubu. In the second year of Jian'an, Yuan Shu was proclaimed emperor. In the autumn of September, the Shu army invaded Chen Liu. Cao Cao personally came to resist, and Yuan Shu retreated, leaving QiaoRui, Li Feng, Liang Gang, Le and so on. They retreated to Shouchun. Cao Cao sent LeJin and Yu Ban to besiege Shouchun. In the end, Shouchun was captured, and the four generals were killed.
12. Yang Feng
Yang Feng, a general at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Initially a general of the White Polish Army in the remnants of the Yellow Turban Rebellion, he later followed the Liangzhou warlord Li Dai. In 196 (the first year of Jian'an), Emperor Xian, cao cao, took over Xu County, and Yang Feng lost his position and defected to Yuan Shu. In 197 (the second year of Jian'an), Yuan Shu attacked Lü Bu, and Yang Feng threw himself at Lü Bu to help him break Yuan Shu. In the same year, Yang was ordered by Lü Bu to attack Liu Bei and was booby-trapped by Liu Bei.

14. Liu Xun
Liu Xun (劉勋), courtesy name Zitai (字子台), was a lang evil man and a general of Yuan Shu (袁術), who served as the Taishou of Lujiang.
15. Bridge
Qiao Rui, a general under Yuan Shu, made certain military achievements for Yuan Shu to open up territory, and was later killed by Cao Cao's army. According to research, the beautiful woman Erqiao at the end of the Han Dynasty may be her daughter.
16. Liang Gang
Liang Gang, a general of Yuan Shu at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, was captured alive and beheaded by Cao Cao at Shouchun (present-day Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province).
17. Zhang Xun
Zhang Xun, in 193 AD, Yuan Shu was defeated by Cao Cao, came to Huainan, killed The Yangzhou Assassin Shi Chen Wen, and appointed Zhang Xun as a general.
Yuan Shu also had two other important forces: Lü Bu's forces occupying Xuzhou and Sun Jian's old forces, Sun Ce's forces. In fact, at the beginning of 197, when Yuan Shu was called, he was the most powerful warlord at that time. As can be seen in the figure below, Yuan Shu was the strongest force at that time, and the purple thick line range was the most prosperous sphere of influence when Yuan Shu was called. The red font is the taishou of the counties appointed by Yuan Shu, and the blue font of Lü Bu and Hua Xin all rely on Yuan Shu. In fact, when talking about Yuan Shu's power, it will always happen to separate Yuan Shu and Sun Ce, in fact, Sun Ce only betrayed after Yuan Shu became emperor, and the biggest blow to Yuan Shu was the betrayal of the Sun clan headed by Sun Ce, which instantly reduced the human, material and financial resources controlled by Yuan Shu by half.
