Xiangsheng Kao 112: Li Shouzeng of the Xiangsheng family "JiaoJiamen"
Li Shouzeng, born in 1902, a native of Tianjin, was formerly known as Li Delin. Because Li Shouzeng used to be a train driver, his peers gave him a nickname called "Li Dache". This also shows a point: Li Shouzeng went to the sea halfway to say cross-talk, and turned from a cross-talk ticket friend to a professional cross-talk actor. There are many people who change their profession to cross-talk in the middle of the road, most of them change from juggling, acrobatics, and storytelling to cross-talk, but from a train driver to cross-talk, Li Shouzeng is the only one. By the way, there is another person who is also engaged in train work, but many train drivers, but the train burns boilers, and later changed to cross-talk, this person is Feng Ziyu. Feng Ziyu and Li Shouzeng still work on the same train. Feng Ziyubai was under Fan Ruiting's door, and Jiao Shaohai was a brother in law. In this way, Feng Ziyu and Li Shouzeng are also brothers. Li Shouzeng and Zhang Shouchen had a good relationship, so Feng Ziyu and Zhang Shouchen also got involved. Later, Zhang Shouchen also took Feng Ziyu's second son Feng Lizhang under his door.
In 1931, Zhang Shouchen became a disciple of Jiao Dehai through the way of a disciple of Dai la. Zhang Shouchen has always had high eyes, and even looked at a train driver who debuted halfway, which fully proved Li Shouzeng's cross-talk talent. Zhang Shouchen and Li Shouzeng's "Timid Shaving of the Head" is a classic among classics.
Li Shouzeng stopped working as a train driver and began to go to the sea to talk to each other. He specializes in praise, and his partner is the famous Zhao Peiru. It is with Li Shouzeng that Zhao Peiru's level of teasing has increased day by day, and the level of praise has increased day by day. Zhao Peiru and Li Shouzeng's "Fu Shou Quan" and "Dedication to the Map" have become classic works in the history of cross-talk.
In 1937, Cho Bee-ru began to speak with Chang Baokun until Chang Baokun's death in North Korea. After Chang Baokun's sacrifice, in 1954 Li Shouzeng was transferred from Jinan to Tianjin and partnered with Zhao Peiru again. After Zhao Peiru and Chang Baokun were partnered, Li Shouzeng's partner was also a bull fork, and he and Guo Rongqi had hooded and Xu Dekui. What is admirable is that no matter who he measures the work, Li Shouzeng can always find his own position, and he can also bring out the characteristics of the comic actor. Guo Rong became hot, Li Shouzeng was as gentle as possible; Zhao Peiru was old-fashioned and had a brittle baggage, and Li Shouzeng drew the finishing touches and said concisely. Guo Rongqi and Li Shouzeng jointly said that the "Eight Great Changes" is a must, and it is also recognized by everyone as the best version of the "Eight Great Changes".
On September 1, 1943, led by Li Shouzeng and together with his apprentice Sun Shaolin, the Chenguang Tea Company opened in Jinan. In Jinan Chenguang Tea Society, it is Li Shouzeng's highlight moment, creating a peak in the history of Jinan cross-talk; most of the three generations of cross-talk artists in Beijing and Tianjin have performed on stage here. The first cross-talk after opening was the traditional cross-talk "Six People" performed by 5-year-old Li Boxiang and his father.

From 1962 onwards, Li Shouzeng gave Xu Dekui a measure of life. The classic passages left by the two include "Funny Words" and "Police and Civilian Family" and so on.
In 1968, Li Shouzeng died of illness at the age of 66.

Li Shouzeng's main achievement was to open a Morning Light Tea House in Jinan to spread cross-talk. Chenguang Tea House is a cross-talk tea house with the same name as Beijing Qiming Tea Society and Tianjin Lianxing Tea Society, and is known as the Southern Morning and Northern Qi.
Li Shouzeng's praise is known for being rigorous and steady.
Li Shouzeng's apprentices include Sun Shaolin, Zhao Lanting, Ou Baocan, Wang Shutian, Zhang Zhenxi, Tang Yimin, Zhang Peiru, Cao Baochun, Xia Wanfu, Ma Jinliang, Lai Shaoru, Jiao Lihai, Ding Shouyi, and Liu Yufeng. Among these disciples, Sun Shaolin and Zhang Zhenxi performed prominently. Lai Shaoru's wife is Yu Youfu, who has the reputation of yu laogu in Tianjin; Lai Shaoru's sister Lai Xiaoru is a female cross-talk actress with the same name as Yu Youfu.
