Unreal Engine debuted last year with a real-time technology demo running on the PS5 that showcased some great visuals. Since then, many big-name games have confirmed the use of the engine, from Hellblade 2: Xena's Sacrifice and Dragon Quest 12: The Chosen Flame of Fate to New Projects from The Coalition and possibly Even Extraterrestrial World 2. Now, we can also add Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl to this list.

In response to a tweet from Unreal Engine's official Twitter that more than 80 Unreal Engine games will be available at the moment, GSC Game World confirmed that the Stalker sequel will also be given to Unreal Engine 5. In January 2020, the developer confirmed that the game would be developed using Unreal Engine, which was the first time the official confirmation of a specific version. Based on the various new features of Unreal Engine, such as Data Layers and the super-high polygon composition of the characters, developing with Unreal 5 is really exciting news.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl is currently developed for Xbox Series X/S and PC. It will launch on April 28, 2022 and will be available on Xbox Game Pass.
