In 2007, Zhang Zheng took the lead in proposing the concept of "drama physiotherapy" and invested millions of yuan to combine this concept with stage plays to successfully produce "Guanyin". He wants to use this stage play to help the audience adjust their minds and find answers to their own hearts. In the following years, "Guanyin" toured all over the country, the venue was full, won industry praise, and became a successful attempt by Zhang Zheng.

In 2008, Zhang Zheng served as a member of the party group and assistant to the chairman of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, officially opening the history of local struggle. In December 2009, he was promoted to deputy secretary of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Altay Prefectural Committee.

Zhang Zheng once said in an interview that from the host to the deputy secretary of the Altay Prefectural Party Committee, he did not "ascend to the sky in one step", but relied on more than 7 years of administrative work.
In February 2012, Zhang Zheng was transferred to the deputy secretary of the Tongren Municipal Party Committee of Guizhou Province. In Tongren, Zhang Zheng gave full play to the advantages of human resources and actively promoted Tongren. In July of that year, he was transferred to the deputy secretary of the Qianxian Prefecture Cpc Committee. Six months later, he was promoted to secretary of the Qianxian Prefecture Party Committee.
