In Fengxin County, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, the "hometown of Chinese kiwifruit", some kiwifruit planting bases that combine agriculture and tourism have also begun to become lively.

Surrounded by mountains on three sides and with a forest coverage rate of 64.46%, Fengxin County is located in the northwest of Jiangxi Province, and is one of the suitable breeding areas for kiwifruit and one of the main birthplaces of Chinese kiwifruit. The kiwifruit here is rich in resources and has been breeding and artificially cultivating wild kiwi varieties since the 1970s.

In the view of Xu Xiaoping, president of the Fengxin County KiwiFruit Industry Association, the kiwifruit industry has become the leading industry, pillar industry and rich people's industry of Agriculture in Fengxin County, and the mode of integration of agriculture and tourism has effectively increased the income of local farmers.
According to official data, as of 2020, the cultivation area of kiwi fruit in Fengxin County will reach 90,000 mu, of which the area of hanging fruit is nearly 75,000 mu, the annual output of fresh fruit is 80,000 tons, and the comprehensive annual output value is 900 million yuan. At present, there are 12 kiwifruit planting, sales and processing enterprises in the county, and more than 7,000 farmers in the kiwifruit industry, with more than 20,000 employees.

Chen Wenlong, chairman of Jiangxi New West Blue Ecological Agriculture Technology Co., Ltd., told reporters that they have driven more than 20 villagers out of poverty and more than 300 urban and rural laborers around them to achieve employment by building a standardized modern agricultural demonstration park that integrates kiwifruit planting, storage, marketing, product deep processing and ecological leisure tourism, and integrated development of three industries.
Liao Shuju, a 58-year-old local farmer woman, previously had a family whose family income mainly depended on farming, and had basically no income all year round. "Now I am engaged in kiwifruit picking and other work at the base, and I have an income of more than 10,000 yuan every year, and I can also take care of the elderly and children." At noon, Liao Shuju, who was sitting in the room resting, said with a smile.
