Industrial integration
Sea cucumber is native to Liaoning and Shandong, Wafangdian is known as the hometown of Chinese Liao ginseng, but the first artificially cultivated sea cucumber seedlings came from Hebei in 1955, the first bottom-sown breeding was in Changdao, Shandong, the first pond culture was in Weihai, Shandong, the first new species of sea cucumber came from Dalian, and the scale of Xiapu northern ginseng southern cultivation began in 2003.
In the past 10 years, the sea cucumber industry has created a series of new models such as cofferdam culture, pond seedling preservation, cage seedling preservation, cage culture, factory culture, etc. The sea cucumber segmented culture makes the sea cucumber industry more closely integrated in the north and south, and the seedlings cultivated in the nursery rooms in Shandong, Liaoning and Hebei have been temporarily raised in cages and ponds for about 6 months in Dalian and Shandong, reaching 8-20 heads, and transported to Xiapu, Fujian at the end of November, using the method of cage feeding for 4-5 months, which can reach 2-10 head of finished product specifications. Industrial integration brings about the integration of management and services. Since the beginning of 2019, government leaders and competent departments in Dalian Wafangdian, Huludao Xingcheng, Yantai in Shandong, Xiapu in Fujian and other places have exchanged frequent exchanges with each other for the common development of the sea cucumber industry, and no aquatic product can touch the hearts of local governments like sea cucumbers, and promote such frequent door-to-door contact and communication between local governments. On September 29, 2020, in order to meet the needs of the integrated development of the sea cucumber industry, the sea cucumber industry branch of the China Fisheries Association was established in Dalian, and the sea cucumber associations and enterprises from Liaoning, Shandong, Hebei, Fujian and other places became founding members, after ten months of development, the sea cucumber industry branch of the China Fishery Association and the Wafangdian Sea Cucumber Association, the Liaoning Marine Aquaculture Association, the Xiapu Sea Cucumber Association, the Xingcheng Sea Cucumber Association, etc. established a close cooperative relationship, and the exchanges between the associations were more frequent, in product standards, technologies, models, Markets and other aspects are playing an increasing role.
