Citrus Red Spider - The occurrence of baby full-clawed mites

The citrus red spider, also known as the citrus full-clawed mite, is one of the main pests of citrus. If the mite infestation is not effectively controlled, the citrus leaves are heavily damaged, and the damaged leaves are densely gray-white needle-sized dots, the leaves fade green, and even the whole leaves are gray and gray, losing their luster, which eventually leads to shedding, which seriously affects the tree potential and yield.

Every year in March, the activity begins to migrate to the spring shoots, the appropriate temperature for development and reproduction is 20 to 30 °C, the optimal temperature is 25 °C, 12 to 20 generations can occur in 1 year, there are 2 peak periods, the first time in April to June, for the harm of spring shoots; the second time in September and November, to harm the autumn shoots, there is a tendency to tender greenness, when the new shoots grow out, the pest mites on the old leaves are transferred to the new shoots. Insects decrease sharply above 35°C or below 12°C and are highly resistant to conventional acaricides.

There are three strategies of chemical control, biological control and agricultural control, mainly based on chemical control.

Spring shoots and early flowering (March-April)

Full hit set (20% acetazole suspension + 5% avicyanide microemulsion) 2000 to 3000 times

Flowering to physiological fruiting (May-June)

Mancan (22% aviraformase suspension) 4000 times + special candle (440 g/L cyanogen propyl bromophos emulsion) 1500 to 2000 times.

Summer Draw Period (July-August)

Full set (43% biphenylhydrazine ester suspension + 24% spironite suspension) 3000 times + upper card (1.8% avermectin emulsion) 800 to 1000 times (temperature not higher than 32 degrees, sprayed in the afternoon)

Fruit expansion to fruit picking (September-November)

Full set (43% biphenylhydrazine ester suspension + 24% spironite suspension) 5000 times + upper card (1.8% avermectin emulsion) 800 to 1000 times.

Clearing Period (December-February)

Yuan Man (20% tetra-mite and triazole tin suspension) 3000 times + special candle (440 g / L cyanocyanide propromophos emulsion) 1500 ~ 2000 times + poly shock (mineral oil additive) 300 ~ 500 times.
