Binzhou, May 14 (reporter Wang Juncai correspondent Zhang Zhenhua Ruan Chenchen) Recently, Binzhou Marine Fisheries Research Institute and Shandong Shellfish Innovation Team post experts purchased 6 million hard shell clam seeds from Zhangpu, Fujian Province, and sowed them in the standardized breeding ponds of Shandong Jinshuiyuan Aquatic Products Co., Ltd. and the 700 mu of ponds with large water surfaces in the beach, and carried out the experiment of comprehensive breeding mode of shrimp and shellfish polyculture.

The breeding experiment will study the feasibility of three-dimensional ecological culture of hard shell clams and Penaeus vannamei in tidal ponds, make a scientific analysis of their breeding capacity, further optimize the control of water quality and inputs, ensure the food safety level of pond aquaculture products, actively explore effective ways to improve the efficiency of marine aquaculture per unit area, and promote the quality and efficiency of marine pond aquaculture.
