Chen Jianwei, co-founder of natural imaging China and president of the China Forestry Ecological Photography Association, introduced that after more than a year of shooting, a large number of high-quality rare wild species image data have been obtained in Dehong, such as Tianxing gibbon, Fei's langur, leopard cat, small-clawed otter, brown forest owl, hornbill, and infrared photographic clouded leopard, northern dolphin tail monkey, binturong, jackal, black bear, civet cat, golden cat, etc. For the first time in China, a high-definition image of the gray-bellied horned pheasant, a national key protected species, was also taken in China.
Infrared image
Photographers walk through cliffs and stay overnight in the dense forest countryside, eating with the stars and moons, and photographing rare birds as friends. Whether it is the repeated focus of zero distance, or the instantaneous capture of the far-reaching view; whether it is the squatting point capture of staying up for more vigil, or the inadvertent accidental encounter; whether it is the exquisite skills of foreign celebrities, or the small test skills of lovers in the state; whether it is the cute posture of the red panda, the cold pride of the king cobra, or the naughty frolic of the Fei's langur monkey, the low warmth of the crumpled hornbill in the flower crown, a beautiful picture, fixed the memory of the heartbeat again and again, and the frame image records the magic of a period of exploration...

Chen Jianwei
For the first time in China, the "national treasure" gray-bellied horned pheasant was photographed
"The most unexpected discovery and excitement of this Year of Photography event was the photography of adult male grey-bellied horned pheasants." When it comes to the process of shooting high-definition images of gray-bellied horned pheasants in the wild, Chen Jianwei can't suppress the joy in his heart, since the launch of the project in November 2016, the team's photography team has gone deep into the Dehong Mountain Forest to record the ecological environment in the territory. The pheasant was photographed on November 19, 2016, and was found in data collected by the infrared camera set up by the staff, and three photos were taken in a row. "At that time, we initially concluded that it was a gray-bellied horned pheasant, and then contacted Academician Zheng Guanmei and Professor Zhang Zhengwang, an expert at Beijing Normal University who specializes in pheasants. Through their coordination and efforts, the Gray-bellied Horned Pheasant Imaging Conference was held in Beijing on February 22, 2017. ”
At the appraisal meeting, the expert group listened to the report of the photography team of "Natural Image China • Beautiful Ecology Dehong" on the discovery of the gray-bellied horned pheasant, and viewed the image data taken in the field. After questioning and discussion, it was finally confirmed that the photograph taken was an adult male bird of the gray-bellied horned pheasant, which is a national key protected bird, and the photo taken this time is the first time in China that a picture of the wild gray-bellied horned pheasant was taken in the natural ecological environment.
Grey-bellied horned pheasant
Zhang Zhengwang said that as a rare and endangered species in the world, the gray-bellied horned pheasant has high conservation value, but there is very little understanding and research on it at home and abroad, and there is not much relevant information. The photos taken this time show that the local ecological environment is very good and suitable for the survival of the gray-bellied horned pheasant.

"In 2014, I took a set of pictures of the mating period of Yellow-billed River terns on the side of the Daying River, there were 13 at the time, 7 last year, and even fewer this year, only 4, and I may not be able to shoot them later." Speaking of filming the Yellow Zui River Tern Sun Xiaohong recalled, "At that time, in order to catch the shot of the Yellow Zui River Tern mating moment, every day before dawn we had to drive to the Daying River to wait, and only returned to the place of residence to rest when it was dark, and every day we had to stand in the cold river and wait for hours or even longer. I hadn't been able to shoot this shot for the previous 6 days, and everyone was in a very low mood. On the 7th day, we went to the Daying River early to wait, and after the Yellow Zui River terns finished fishing and eating, we finally took this set of precious pictures that morning. ”

Due to his long-term roots in Yingjiang, Zeng Xiangle spends about 3/4 of a year in the mountains doing wild photography. During the photographic period, a large number of images documenting the biodiversity of Yingjiang were taken. In terms of birds, a lot of precious materials have been photographed, such as Indian pond herons, bald storks, red-winged hanging wall finches, etc.; wild orchids such as trumpet-lipped dendrobium; two reptiles have photographed brown forest snakes, Bengal cobras, Bengal monitor lizards, Burmese pythons, etc.

Zeng Xiangle introduced that as a macro photographer, for a lens, it is often necessary to have close contact with poisonous snakes and beasts, which requires patience, courage, and the quality of not being in danger. At the same time, it is necessary to learn in advance and learn a lot of information about wild survival and wildlife, which can avoid many dangers. For example, when photographing snakes, you need to learn the classification knowledge of snakes, understand which are venomous snakes and which are non-venomous snakes, and wear water shoes to prevent accidents such as snake bites when exploring in the lower streams and drilling grass.

During last year's photography period, in order to shoot the moment when the two-horned hornbill bird came out of the nest, every morning, he had to carry heavy equipment into the mountain, eat some dry food at noon, and return to the city after dark, so he insisted on it for more than 10 days. The two climbers often travel at night, and in order to photograph them, he often goes into the mountains at night to listen to the sound of frogs and look for a trace of snakes.

Zhengshan River
5 times before and after the search into the mountains to find the Faye's langur population
Zheng Shanhe fell in love with photography 4 years ago, and at first his photographs mainly reflected the local cultural landscape, and gradually fell in love with natural ecological photography by participating in the "Natural Image China Beauty Ecology Dehong" photography year and the contact and exchange of natural ecological photographers.
The Picture of the Fei's Langur is provided by Zhengshan River and the Soul of the Mountain
"I like nature ecological photography is the past two years, in 2016 'Natural Image China • Beautiful Ecology Dehong' was launched in Mangshi, many excellent domestic natural ecological photographers gathered in Dehong, including teacher Sun Xiaohong, at that time in the process of communicating with him, saw the natural ecological photography works stored in his mobile phone, he was attracted." Zheng Shanhe said that from that moment on he fell in love with eco-photography.
After the launch of the Photography Year, Zheng Shanhe, as an introductory of ecological photography, and other natural ecological photographers traveled to Mangshi, Ruili, Yingjiang, Longchuan and other places to shoot. He introduced that he found that the largest group of Phyllis langurs in China originated from a solo wild shooting. At the end of October last year, he went to Shuijing Village in Xuangang Township, Mangshi City, for a wild photo shoot, and on the way, he heard an old man who herded cattle in the local area talk about monkeys in the neighborhood, but he didn't know what kind of monkeys it was, and he could only say its characteristics, gray hair and blue eyes. In order to confirm that there were signs of Faye's langur activity in the area, he went into the mountains five times in the following half a month, and finally found their tracks in an unknown depression.
"I saw the branches of the nearby mountainside shaking, so I used a telescope to observe, because the distance and the lush foliage obscured part of the view, and I could only see a juvenile Fischer langur playing on the branches." Zheng Shanhe said that he followed the Faye's langur group all the way until the monkeys reached a waterfall in the mountain stream to drink water and rest.
In order to be able to take a close shot of the Fei's langur, Zheng Shanhe accidentally fell off the rock in the process of climbing the waterfall rock, and made a deep cut in his left arm, but he could not care about the pain at that time, according to his experience of surviving in the wild for many years, he found some hemostatic grass nearby, chewed it on the wound, climbed above the waterfall again, and finally completed the shooting. After that, Zheng Shanhe would go to photograph the Fei's langur again in one or two days, and after 2 months of tracking and shooting, he gradually mastered the activity rules of this group of Fei's langurs, and now he will go once every three to four days. Zheng Shanhe said: "Through long-term follow-up shooting, they have let down their guard against me, and now they are no longer afraid of me." ”
It is reported that there are nearly 200 Fischer langurs in the area, which is currently the largest group of Fischer langurs in China.
