Young Taiwan Compatriots: The "epidemic" of war has me
The "epidemic" does not distinguish between you and me, and Taiqing also comes to help. For some time now, young people in Taiwan who have been active in various parts of the mainland have contributed their efforts in a way that they can. Some of them are epidemic prevention volunteers, some go deep into the frontline communities, some produce epidemic prevention propaganda, and some donate funds and materials... In their words: "Although the strength is small, it will never stand by!" ”
We will not abandon Wuhan
When Academician Zhong Nanshan said with tears in his eyes: "Wuhan was originally a very heroic city. "Xue Yinghong thought, I want to write a song to cheer for this city."
Xue yinghu came to Wuhan from Taiwan in 2018. "I fell in love with the city for the first time and decided to stay." On February 3, the first batch of more than 200 Taiwan compatriots stranded in Wuhan took a plane to leave, and the Hubei Provincial Taiwan Affairs Office also asked Xue Yinghuan if he wanted to leave, and he replied "no." "I'm working hard in this place, and at this moment I'm standing with Wuhan."
He forwarded what he saw and heard to relatives and friends in Taiwan. The pharmacy has been open, the street office and the community have issued announcements of changes in the epidemic situation at any time, neighbors have done a good job of self-protection, and Vulcan Mountain, Leishen Mountain, and Fang Cabin Hospital have been quickly established. "I have confidence in the mainland's fight against the epidemic. The more difficult the times, the more cohesive we are. ”
What can staying at home do for Wuhan? "Write songs, read books, and do more positive things." Xue Yinghu said that we should also do a good job of psychological protection, do not always be wrapped in some negative emotions, everyone affects each other, this is actually another "virus".
Volunteer in the community
Due to his wife's pregnancy, Chen Wencheng, a Taiwanese youth who "drifted north", did not return to his hometown in Changhua, Taiwan for the First Time for the New Year. The sudden outbreak disrupted his plans and gave him a new responsibility.
"I heard that the community was recruiting community epidemic prevention volunteers, so I discussed with my wife that I wanted to sign up. At first, she was worried that she would not agree, but after the communication, she was quite supportive, saying that as long as she did a good job of personal protection, it was good to do something within her ability. ”
In this way, Chen Wencheng became a volunteer for epidemic prevention and control in Tongzeyuan Xili, Haidian District. The moment he took the red sleeve from the community secretary, he "felt the burden on his body."
On the night of the blizzard in Beijing, Chen Wencheng happened to be on night duty. "It was so cold that it couldn't stand. The hands were cold and rubbed hard, and the feet were cold and stomped hard. Every time I was on duty, I felt like a sentry. The thought of this makes my heart steam. ”
In the process of duty, Chen Wencheng felt the determination and execution of the mainland's epidemic prevention. "The neighbors were also very cooperative. When you see us on duty, you will say, you have worked hard. Especially when I encounter children in the community who say 'Uncle has worked hard', I am particularly touched, and everyone is paying for the city they love in their own way. ”
Make a "small broadcast" of epidemic prevention
On February 17, Xiamen Qida Entrepreneurship Strait Double Innovation Base. Taiwanese youth Fan Jiangfeng came to the office early, sent a few circles of friends as usual, and forwarded the article from the company's WeChat public account "Qida Taixiang".
"Rest assured, masks are coming, and reservations can be made all over Fujian!" There is Fan teaching, teaching you how to get a mask! "Draw the key points, let's take a look at the health protection guidelines for the compatriots in Fujian and Taiwan during the war 'epidemic'"... Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Fan Jiangfeng has compiled some of the latest epidemic prevention policies and information every day, compiled and distributed on the company's WeChat public account. For now, his focus is on resuming work and production.
"In recent years, the number of articles on resuming work and epidemic prevention has been read as little as a few thousand and as many as tens of thousands. Since the readers of the public account are mainly Taiwanese businessmen and Taiwanese youth, this reading volume is already good. Fan Jiangfeng said that now the information is updated quickly, many Taiwan compatriots do not know much about the resumption of work and production, epidemic prevention and control policies, he hopes to sort out this kind of information every day, publicize and push on the platform, so that more people can see.
Fan Jiangfeng wants to make the "Qida Taixiang" public account into a "small broadcast" for epidemic prevention and resumption of work, with columns such as policy subsidy publicity, Taiwan youth services, and epidemic prevention instructions, to provide real-time information for Taiwan compatriots and Taiwan youth, and help everyone resume work and prevent epidemics.
Confidence in the mainland has not diminished
With the development of the epidemic, the public's demand for protective materials such as masks is increasing, and The Taiqing YangQiwei in Quanzhou is in the eyes and anxious in the heart. Having studied in the United States and Japan, he urgently contacted overseas classmates and friends and purchased a batch of medical masks.
Before the Lantern Festival, he and his father donated 5,000 masks to the Quanzhou Red Cross Society. Not long after, he raised funds overseas and donated 3,000 masks. "Now that the mainland is encountering difficulties, the project can be put aside first and fight the epidemic with the mainland compatriots, which is the most important thing at the moment." Yang Qiwei said.
Taiwanese youth Xu Jinming also wanted to do something, so he participated in the launch of the "Dream Wenzhou" Taiwan Youth Association fundraising. "During this time, from launching information collection, to actively running for preparation, to contacting customs to coordinate the transportation of rescue items, every Taiwan youth in the Fraternity Association is cheering for Wuhan and fighting the 'epidemic' with mainland compatriots."
They contacted 202 young Taiwanese in the mainland and donated 12,500 masks and 100 sets of protective clothing to Wenzhou Oujiangkou Hospital (Wenzhou version of Huoshenshan Hospital) and Wuhan Zhongnan Hospital, which are the frontline of direct contact with patients. "Although the strength is weak, it will never stand idly by!" Xu Jinming said.
Huang Baixiang, a young man from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is one of the 202 Taiwanese youths who contributed the money. "Taiwan is the hometown where we were born and raised, the mainland is our home for employment and dreams, and we have confidence in the development of the mainland." I hope to work hand in hand with my mainland friends to tide over the difficulties, which is the consensus of my Taiwan family members and most of my Taiwan youth friends. (Reporter Wang Lingxi)
