On July 13, 2001, Beijing, China successfully bid for the Olympic Games, marking the 20th anniversary. Looking back on that year, with the east wind of the Olympic Games, China's national brand image and value have been greatly improved, and the economy has also ushered in a period of rapid growth.

Even in terms of direct profits, the Beijing Olympics are one of the few Olympic Games to achieve positive profitability. According to the data disclosed by the National Audit Office, including the actual revenue and expenditure, the subsequent realizable income and the expenditure to be settled, as of March 15, 2009, the income of the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee reached 20.5 billion yuan, an increase of 800 million yuan over the budget; the expenditure reached 19.343 billion yuan, a slight increase from the budget; and the balance of revenue and expenditure exceeded 1 billion yuan.

Today, there are only 10 days left before the Tokyo Olympics are officially held, but this time the Tokyo Olympics are going to lose miserably. At present, the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games have been confirmed to be held empty, and ticket revenue will fall from the estimated 90 billion yen (about 5.3 billion yuan) to billions of yen, which will lead to a sharp decline in foreign tourists, or even zero, and the economic loss will reach 2.4133 trillion yen (about 150.7 billion yuan).
