In the process of operation, Xiaoming began to worry and worry about being blamed by his mother. After all, for a 14-year-old junior high school student, 170,000 yuan is not a small amount. The scammer sensed Bob's hesitation and began to comfort him with rhetoric, saying that as long as the process was followed, the deducted money would soon be returned to Bob's mother's account, and ten times the rebate would also be credited. At that time, even if Xiaoming's mother is angry and sees 10 times the rebate, she will definitely praise more than blame.
Seemingly reasonable rhetoric, coupled with the temptation of 10 times the rebate, Xiaoming's psychology is firmly controlled by the scammers, and it is getting deeper and deeper. He followed the instructions of the scammers to register as a member of a certain mall with his mobile phone number and began to buy a large number of electronic shopping cards for the mall. According to the statistics of the police after the incident, he purchased more than 80 electronic shopping cards with a denomination of 1,000 yuan in a few hours, and spent a total of more than 80,000 yuan.
The next instruction of the scammer is simple, asking Xiaoming to send a red envelope to a red packet group. Xiaoming pulled his mother's WeChat signal into the WeChat group designated by the scammer, and immediately began to send red envelopes frantically. According to the requirements of the other party, Xiaoming set the total amount of red envelopes to 6,000 yuan, and the number of red envelopes was set to 30, and the average red envelope could receive 200 yuan. Thinking about the return that was about to arrive, Xiaoming kept sending red envelopes to the group, and even he couldn't tell how much he had sent. Looking at the red envelope that was received on the screen almost instantaneously, his heart was both panicked and expectant.
This ridiculous scam lasted until more than six o'clock in the afternoon, before it was discovered and stopped by Xiaoming's mother. As soon as he heard the voice of an adult, the scammer who was on a video call with Xiaoming immediately hung up the phone, quickly kicked Xiaoming out of the WeChat group and blocked it. At this time, Xiaoming finally realized that he had been deceived!
According to statistics after the incident, Xiaoming sent a total of 21 red envelopes with an amount of 6,000 yuan in the WeChat group, plus a 6,000 yuan red envelope in another group and the previous 80,000 yuan shopping card, with a total loss of 216,000 yuan.

The police promptly contacted the service background of the card issuance and froze the payment of these electronic shopping cards.
