On the ring road, the interchange of the Oil Mill Bridge is a perennial blockage. Together with the Ring Road and jiangxinzhou Yangtze River Bridge, it plays a role in the function of a rapid ring line across the river. Within the scope of Nanjing, it connects 7 roads: Fengtai South Road, Hongyun Avenue, Digital Avenue, Ring Road, Ningma Expressway, Jiangxinzhou Yangtze River Bridge, and Jiangshan Avenue, which are related to millions of citizens in Daishan and Hexi Jiangshan Avenue areas.

Traffic flow monitoring shows that 142,000 vehicles pass through the interchange every day, of which 88,000 use the interchange to change directions. Car owners from Xianlin to the city in the morning and evening rush hours can save 20 minutes along the way.

It is worth mentioning that the viaduct of Xianyin North Road is also the first prefabricated bridge for highway engineering in the province, setting two "domestic bests": the prefabricated prefabricated bridge with the widest width and the largest tonnage in China. The Longhua Interchange to Zhangdian Junction section of National Highway 312, which is well known to Nanjing people as the Longhua to Zhangdian section of the Ninghe Expressway, communicates the Nanjing Jiangxinzhou Yangtze River Bridge and the Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge, connecting the Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway and the Shanghai-Rong Expressway, with a total length of 6.92 km and a design speed of 100 km/h. Among them, the Section from Jiangxinzhou Yangtze River Bridge to Longhua Interchange was opened to traffic at the end of last year and became part of the Rapid Ring Road around the city. Now the project is fully completed, marking another radial line in the northwest direction of the Nanjing Expressway network. According to reports, the project construction can not only release nearly 270 acres of space land resources under the bridge, but also further promote the organic connection between the north and south of Pukou Urban Area. After the project is fully completed, residents in the central urban area of Pukou District can save about 15 minutes on the highway time.
