Higher temperatures and better temperature control
In dryers and ironing machines, burning natural gas can replace steam as a heat source. It's a hotter heat source because you can change the velocity of the gas to increase or decrease the size of the flame, and natural gas also allows for better and more precise temperature control.
In the U.S., laundromat owner Taft is ready to roll out new, more efficient equipment at his commercial laundromat in South Salt Lake City. He just had a brand new press dehydrator and a laundry dragon for the bottom of 14 compartments, and he also used it with other new equipment, hoping to make his equipment more efficient. The laundry dragon will connect six sets of 130kg capacity direct-fired dryers, a linen cake conveying system, and a double cake shuttle. All of this will be controlled by the management system.
Infrared sensor drying technology reduces drying time by 15%. The dryer's linear burner system covers the entire drum, which provides higher throughput, reduces gas consumption, and eliminates over-drying.
As energy demand decreases, so does the cost of electricity, gas and water. The dryer is equipped with infrared technology, which determines the drying time of the linen, thereby reducing the number of times the dryer is used and energy consumption. A platform- and technology-independent software program that provides laundry facilities with faster, real-time information that allows them to make adjustments to daily production data in seconds or minutes, rather than once an hour.

The new 12-compartment 100kg capacity laundry dragon is paired with a new press dehydrator and 16 gas dryers. An overhead monorail bag system unloads wet linen onto 8 conveyor belts. The conveyor belt can transfer wet linen in both directions to the dryer that needs to be packed with wet linen for loose pre-drying/drying. The dryer unloads the loosed pre-dried/dried linen onto the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt loads these linens, which require further finishing, into a monorail bag system and then unloads them into the rear finishing area for ironing/folding.
Another supplier offers integrated plate heat exchangers for dryers. Its dryer also benefits from additional insulation and a direct drive system, which eliminates the limitations of ordinary mechanical drives.
Meanwhile, the ED900 and ED1250 dryers have been a successful addition to the Girbau series of Eco dryers since their launch 18 months ago, which has been reported in previous reports.
