"Grandpa He Shuheng has been away from us for many years, but the family letters he wrote before he died are our heirlooms." At noon on September 6, He Shuheng's great-grandson He Yue said in an interview with the Yangtze River Daily reporter that the vast majority of He Shuheng's descendants worked in agriculture, and they were industrious and simple, living on their own skills. He Shuheng's influence on future generations is condensed into one sentence: be honest and do things in a down-to-earth manner.

He Shuheng was a major representative of the Communist Party of China and one of the founders of the Communist Party of China, and was killed in February 1935. Most of his descendants still live in Yuzichong, Ningxiang City, Hunan Province. Among the 8 people of the fourth generation of the He family, only He Yue lives in a big city and is the descendant of the He family who has seen the most in the world.

The 45-year-old He Yue graduated from Hunan University, and the spirit of "Soviet widow cow" in He Shuheng deeply infected He Yue. He Yue has been in Shenzhen for many years, and he has specially established an 800-square-meter party history activity center as a place for the company's party branch to study and educate, and one-third of it shows the deeds of his grandfather He Shuheng and his daughter and son-in-law participating in the revolution.

He Yue told reporters that He Shuheng's second daughter, He Shishan, and his youngest daughter, He Shisi, followed their father on the revolutionary road and joined the Communist Party of China in 1926 and 1928, respectively. The second daughter, He Shishan, and Xia Zhibing, a student of He Shuheng and an underground member of the Communist Party of China, became two and worked for the party together. Due to the betrayal of traitors, Xia Zhibing was arrested and killed in Changsha. Upon learning the news of her husband's sacrifice, He Shishan was deeply saddened. He Shuheng comforted her: "A Communist Party member should not die in a hospital bed, he must die on the road!" Since then, the sisters He Shishan and He Shisi have been following their father's teachings and more firmly devoted themselves to the revolutionary cause.

In October 1986, He Shishan and He Shisi sisters returned to the former residence of He Shuheng in Ningxiang County. After a long absence from their hometown, the two old men were full of emotions, and they visited their neighbors and grandmothers, who were still alive at the time, and said to their nieces and nephews and daughters-in-law: "You must help and care for each other." In particular, respect for the elderly. They also instructed their nephews and grandchildren: "Remember that no matter what the circumstances, do not follow the wrong path." You are the descendants of the martyr He Shuheng, learn from the revolutionary virtues of your ancestors, and do not use the honors of your ancestors to ask the government! ”

He Yue's grandfather He Xinjiu was the heir of his elder brother He Yuming to He Shuheng. After he joined the revolution, He Shuheng often wrote letters home, and he was very patient and careful about the education of this heir.

He Yue told reporters that most of He Shuheng's letters were written to his heir He Xinjiu. In addition to greeting relatives at home and asking about trivial matters at home, the letter also expounded a lot of principles of being a person, such as: "I am definitely not a person of my family and a township, and my outlook on life is by no means to live in the township to die a good life, and I absolutely cannot make a fortune for my family to be promoted to an official and make a fool of my descendants." ”

He Shuheng's family letter to his son He Xinjiu.

In the letter, He Shuheng hopes that his family will work hard, rely on their own efforts to pursue happiness, and educate the younger generations to be an upright and frank person, and not to live in the world for a little profit.

These letters have been preserved to this day and are displayed in the former residence of He Shuheng. He Yue told reporters that although there are no people who have made great achievements in the descendants of the He family, they all do things in a down-to-earth manner in their respective posts and are not ashamed.
