Eric Bowman, American painter
Eric Bowman, an American painter, was born in Pasadena and grew up in Orange County, California. He was basically a self-taught artist, with a talent for painting for as long as he can remember, and in elementary and high school, he was always an artist in his class. His early career in various art-related careers led him to become a long-term and successful freelance illustrator, eventually turning to fine art painting.
His work has also been published in Western Art, Southwest Art, Practical Art (France), International Artist, Connoisseur of Fine Arts, Plein Air and Collector of Western Art magazines. He is a signatory member of the California Art Club and a former autograph member of the American Impressionist Association and the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association. His paintings are in private and corporate collections in the United States, Great Britain, China, Australia, Canada and Mexico.
As a painter, Eric has exhibited in some of the most prestigious galleries and museums in the United States, including the Ottery Museum, the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, the Briscoe Museum, the Kaiping Museum of Art (China), the Academy Museum of Art, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, and more.
