This seven-sentence poem was written in the first year of Yongzhen, when the poet was demoted to Sima of Langzhou. In 805, Emperor Shunzong ascended the throne and appointed Wang Shuwen to reform the imperial government, in which Liu Yuxi participated. However, the innovation was strongly opposed by eunuchs, feudal towns, and bureaucratic forces, and ended in failure, Shunzong abdicated, Wang Shuwen died, Liu Yuxi was degraded, and the valuable thing is that the poet did not sink under the severe blow, and was demoted to Langzhou when he was thirty-four years old, but he had a strong desire for difference. Generations of literati have written wisps of grief, sorrow, and concern into the autumn, making the sorrow of autumn a hue and an emotion of autumn. However, Liu Yuxi unusually took another strange path, singing the beauty of autumn with the greatest enthusiasm, although frustrated and depressed, but unwilling to be reflected in the heart of the clouds.
