Outside Mijiabao in Chakou Village, Meijiaping Town, Fuping County, there is a community of cave dwellings excavated on the loess cliff, and behind this seemingly unremarkable cave dwelling, it carries the heroic story of the Communist Party members and the local people fighting wits and courage with the enemy under the white terror and not fearing sacrifice. Nowadays, it has been listed in the national red tourism classic area list, named the former site of the Mijiayao underground transportation station.
Mijiayao Underground Transportation Station, located in Chakou Village, Meijiaping Town, Fuping County, north of Yaozhou, west of Sanyuan, is the northwestern border of Fuping County. After the Long March of the CPC Central Committee arrived in northern Shaanxi, it became an important underground passage connecting northern Shaanxi with Guanzhong. Due to its special geographical location and relative safety and concealment, Mijiayao became one of the important red traffic stations between Guanzhong and northern Shaanxi, and was an important contact point in the Zhaojin, Liulin, and Xuezhen national unification areas, and its main task was to transfer materials, collect and pass on intelligence, so that it later developed into escorting revolutionary cadres.
When a full-scale civil war broke out in the autumn of 1946, the Shaanxi Provincial Working Committee of the CPC, in accordance with the instructions of Xi Zhongxun, secretary of the Northwest Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, escorted the responsible comrades of the Central Plains Bureau from southeast Shaanxi to the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region. On the evening of October 17, Li Xiannian, commander of the Central Plains Military Region, and three other people came from Lintong to Fuping Flood Head, and according to the prior arrangement, they first stopped at Wang Qinghai Chemadian on the flood official road. At that time, Li Xiannian disguised himself as a general of the Kuomintang Army, dressed in a general's uniform, wearing a badge of commendation, and sunglasses. After dark, Mi Zhongquan, the son of Mi Zhongquan, led the way and secretly came to Mi's house to eat and rest. Li Xiannian sat on the kang of the cave and talked and laughed with Mi Yang. In the middle of the night, under the cover of the armed detachment sent by the border area, accompanied by Mi Zhongquan, Mi Shimao, and others, they were escorted to Lao Niupo on the western side of the flood, where they joined the receiving armed detachment and safely passed through the blockade line north of Yao County to reach Liulin Town in the border area.
After returning to the border area, Li Xiannian praised mi Xiuhua as "a very progressive and knowledgeable person who can talk about many revolutionary truths." Many years later, Comrade Li Xiannian, who is already vice premier of the State Council, recalled this extraordinary experience and said: "The underground work in Shaanxi has been done very well, and when I arrived at the head of the flood, it was like arriving at my hometown." "This is a high evaluation of the flood underground traffic work.
At the same time, in the revolutionary work of transmitting information, transferring materials, and escorting personnel, a large number of excellent traffic liaison officers have emerged at the Fuping Flood Underground Transportation Station.
In 1930, the 15-year-old Mi Zhongquan began to work as an underground traffic liaison under the influence of his father. In March 1947, Mi Zhongquan was instructed by his superiors to cooperate with underground staff to do pre-war intelligence gathering in the flood area. When he learned that the enemy was about to come to search for him, he had received a notice from his superiors to transfer, and could have evacuated safely, but in order to take care of the safe transfer of other comrades and the concealment of firearms and materials, he delayed the time, and because of his more appearances, he attracted the attention of the enemy, and on May 16, 1947, he was arrested by Wang Yamin, the leader of the Kuomintang militia. In prison, Mi Zhongquan was tortured by all kinds of torture, but he remained unyielding and righteous. He said to his fellow inmate Qi Yusen, who was imprisoned together: "The enemy can only destroy my body, and he wants to get a word from my mouth that they need." In the early morning of April 21, 1948, Mi Zhongquan was buried alive by the enemy under yaowang mountain in Yao county. He was only 34 years old at the time of his death. The bad news of Mi Zhongquan's death came, and the whole family was deeply saddened. Father Mi Yangyang encouraged his family: "There will be sacrifices in the revolution, some people in other people's families will sacrifice for the revolution, and our family loyalty is also sacrificed for the revolution. ”
Time is like a gap, and the years are like shuttles! The Fuping Underground Traffic Station, represented by Mijiayao, has made immortal contributions to the cause of the party and the people during the years of arduous struggle. It has satisfactorily accomplished the glorious tasks entrusted to it by the Party organization and written a glorious page in the history of the revolutionary struggle of the people of Fuping.
