According to the enterprise investigation APP, recently, the first-instance civil judgment of the first instance of the network infringement liability dispute between GeYou and Inner Mongolia Jieye Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd. was made public. The court found that the defendant Jieye Company published a tweet titled "I quietly 'Ge You Lie', watch your 'busy before and after'" and used a screenshot of the plaintiff's participation in the TV series as a picture.
The court held that the plaintiff Ge You, as a well-known literary and art worker, had a certain commercial value in his portrait, and using his portrait without the plaintiff's permission infringed on his portrait rights. The result of the judgment was that the defendant Jieye Company deleted the portrait of the plaintiff in the article and apologized, compensating the plaintiff for economic losses of 6,000 yuan.
