On the morning of October 22, Mr. Zhang Zehuo, 76, came to the county library and donated more than 90 copies of the genealogies of the major families of Xiangshan that he collected and treasured to the county library. The county library issued Zhang Zehuo with a certificate of donation and collection of documents, thanking him for his contribution to the local literature bibliography of Xiangshan.

Zhang Ze had been a soldier and had long been teaching in primary and secondary schools in Xiaotang, Dingtang and other places. After his retirement, he devoted himself to the study of the history of the Xiangshan surname, and although he was severely deaf and suffered from hypertension, he still forgot to eat and sleep. For more than ten years, he has successively written and published 12 books such as "Xiaotang Township Chronicle", "Xiaotang Character Record", "Longgang Newcomer", "Huangbu Pan Family", "Tang Han Zhu Family", "Xiangyi Zhang Family", "Huang Family Genealogy Collection", "Xiangshan Hundred Family Names" and other 12 books, with a total of more than 3.79 million words, and there are currently 1.35 million words of manuscripts ready for publication. At the same time, the genealogy was continued for about 5,800 families in 22 families in Huangbu, Panbu, Yanchang, Shilizhu, Tang'ao, Xizhuang and other places.

According to reports, the genealogy donated this time was collected and treasured by Zhang Zehuo when compiling the genealogy. Someone once bid 200,000 yuan to buy, but Mr. Zhang refused. He said that it is better to accumulate wealth for his descendants than to accumulate virtue for his descendants, and the family trees of the Xiangshan people should be shown to the Xiangshan people, so he resolutely donated all these genealogies he cherished.

The relevant person in charge of the county library said that he hopes that more people of insight can participate, spread the local literature collection work more widely, do it more comprehensively and in place, create a working mechanism that integrates local literature collection, protection, collation, research and development, provide readers with a window to inquire and understand the history of Xiangshan, accelerate the construction of cultural Xiangshan, and jointly contribute to the local literature cause of Xiangshan.
