The funds will be used to support students from poor families, reward outstanding teachers and students and outstanding scientific and technological workers, support school construction, and support activities that help improve the quality and level of education. According to the requirements of the donor, the Chengmai County Education Science and Technology Development Foundation promises that next year's college entrance examination promotion season, all undergraduate freshmen in the old town who meet the application conditions will be funded according to the basic standard of funding in that year (4,000 yuan per student).
At the donation ceremony, Wu Jiacai, deputy general manager of Hainan Ecological Software Park Group Co., Ltd., accepted the honorary plaque of the Heavy Teaching and Learning Unit jointly presented by the Chengmai County Party Committee and the Chengmai County Education technology development foundation.
It is understood that the Hainan Ecological Software Park was jointly built by the Hainan Provincial Government and the China Electronic Information Industry Group in accordance with the "government support, market-oriented operation" model, and officially started construction in October 2009, with an overall planning area of 15.58 square kilometers. Hainan Ecological Software Park is one of the main carriers and platforms for the development of Hainan's Internet industry, and has been identified as a national-level science and technology enterprise incubator, a national demonstration base for new industrialization industries, and the first batch of digital service export bases in the country, and is one of the 11 key parks that harvested the Hainan free trade port policy in the early stage. As of the end of July 2021, the total number of enterprises in the park has reached 10,472. From January to July 2021, the tax revenue was 7.248 billion yuan, an increase of 231.83% year-on-year. Revenue in 2020 was 62.004 billion yuan, an increase of 61% year-on-year, and tax revenue in 2020 was 5.316 billion yuan, an increase of 107.4% year-on-year.
"'Don't let a student not go to college because of poverty' is the original intention of the foundation. After 12 years of development, the foundation has helped more and more students and has become more and more influential. Fu Qixiang, secretary general of the Chengmai County Education Foundation, said that since the establishment of the education foundation in 2009, a large number of social caring people and enterprises and institutions have raised love funds every year to fund the outstanding college students of Chengmai. So far, the Education Foundation has raised a total of 71.8915 million yuan and invested 48.978 million yuan to carry out the public welfare activities of "Education Poverty Alleviation Awards and Excellence", benefiting 10,444 people.
