In 2016, the name of this group was also called "Xiamen Taxi Mutual Aid Group". It was a group of "brothers" and "sisters" spontaneously formed, and the main purpose was internal mutual assistance. "Brothers" Yan Erlei, Li Yahao, Li Yongge and Lu Shaohua are active members of the group.

"At that time, driving on the road, I often met the elderly and children who got lost. That will not know whether to help, how to help. Yan Erlei said. Until 2018, the administrators of the mutual aid group had contact with the Xiamen Shuguang Rescue Team, and the rescue team suggested that they could give full play to their advantages on the road all year round and carry passengers to find people by the way. The two teams hit it off and opened the mode of cooperation and help.

The Dawn Rescue Team provides them with some professional rescue training, and the administrator of the mutual aid group receives the search information sent by the rescue team, and then forwards it to the mutual aid group and mobilizes everyone to find it together. With the increasing understanding of cooperation, the advantages of mutual aid groups in finding people have become more and more obvious. In the early morning of April 18, 2019, after receiving a message from the Dawn Rescue Team, Yan Erlei found a 61-year-old lost old man on Hubin South Road; in the early morning of September 12 of the same year, Li Yongge and "brother" Chang Yaofeng found a girl who had lost contact with her family after school...

As the fame of the mutual aid group grows, some behaviors of clinging to and rubbing the fame for profit occur from time to time. In order to reiterate the original intention of not to do self-interest and not to charge any fees, and in order to make the mutual aid group have a higher degree of recognition, on January 1, 2020, under the authorization of the Xiamen Shuguang Rescue Team, the "Xiamen Taxi Mutual Aid Group" was officially renamed "Shuguang Taxi Mutual Aid Group".

The renamed mutual aid group is more active. They are no longer limited to the search for the lost elderly and children, but also actively participate in the rescue and rescue of light-living people, and carry out various enthusiastic assistance. According to statistics, as of July this year, this mutual aid group has helped to find the elderly and minors a total of 29 times, and has successfully saved the survivors twice.

There is the gratitude of the families and parties involved, and there are also some voices that are questioned and not understood. But the joy and relief of each successful helping person always allows them to resist the pressure of difficulties and troubles. "Last April, we searched for an 83-year-old lost man on the road. When we found the old man near the five villages of Lotus and called his name, the look in his head that we will never forget. Li Yongge recalled that from that look, he and Yan Erlei, who were present, profoundly interpreted the meaning of the four words "life-saving straw".
