Kanzhuang Village is located 8 kilometers southeast of Caitun Town, Chiping District, Liaocheng City, on the west bank of the Ergan Canal, with more than 2,200 people in the village, with a total of nearly 20 surnames of Kan, Liu, Li, Xu, Wu, Wei and Dou. Among them, there are more than 200 people with the surname Kan, and the ancestor of the kan surname kan in the village settled in this village, and the village named Kanzhuang Village was named Kanzhuang Village.
In Kanzhuang Village, I talked to several elderly people surnamed Kan, and they relished the kan surname.
Some say that 4400 years ago, there was this Kan surname, and the ancestor of kan surname was Xuan You; some said that the ancestor was Kan Zhi, a student of Confucius in the Spring and Autumn Period; others said that the ancestor of Kan surname was the Yellow Emperor who was a contemporary of Xuan You.
However, these three theories are related to Shandong, which shows that the love affair between Kan and Shandong is very far-reaching.
Although the Kan surname is ancient, the population in the country is not much, and the latest hundred family names rank 326th, after the Ji surname and before the Lian surname, with a population of about 196,000 people.
An 85-year-old kan surnamed Kan also told the story of the massacre of two Kan surnames.
During the Spring and Autumn Period, the State of Qi had a secretary named "Zhi", who was enfeoffed in Kan Yi and was known as Kan Zhi ( 阚止). It is said that Kan Zhi was proficient in Wenzhi martial arts and was once one of the three major swordsmen of the State of Qi. Kan zhi studied under Confucius at the age of 16 and was the seventh disciple of Confucius who could speak eloquently.
After Duke Jian of Qi ascended the throne, He appointed Tian Chang and Kan Zhi as left and right ministers respectively. Kan was jealous of Tian Chang because he was favored by Duke Jian. In order to enhance his own strength, Tian often used various interests to buy people's hearts and minds to win relations.
In the spring of the fourth year of the Duke of Qijian, Kan Zhi encountered tian rebellion of the Tian clan on the way to the upper court, so he was arrested and imprisoned, not wanting Tian to be rescued by the Tian clan. Fearing the power of the Tian clan, Kan Zhi formed an alliance with them on the one hand to suspend the conflict, while on the other hand, with the support of Duke Jian, prepared to expel the Tian clan.
And all this was secretly told to Tian Chang by Kan's courtier Tian Leopard. In May of the same year, Tian Chang preemptively led his clan and cronies into the palace and kidnapped Duke Jian. Kan Zhi then led his army to break the siege, but was defeated by the Tian clan. Faced with the desperate pursuit of the Tian rebels, Kan Zhi, who was fleeing, panicked and lost, and then mistakenly entered the Tian clan's Yi Fengqiu and was captured and killed by the Tian clan soldiers. Kan's people then suffered a large-scale massacre.
Another story takes place in the last year of the Yuan Dynasty.
At that time, Zhu Yuanzhang was forced to become a monk for his livelihood, and when begging along the street, he came to the door of a large family surnamed Kan to beg for a bowl of rice. Who would have thought that the big family would not only not give food, but also release the watchdog.
Zhu Yuanzhang saw the dog rushing towards him, and accidentally fell to the ground in the dodge, not only breaking the bowl of begging for food, but also biting his thigh. The owner of the dog stood by and watched, not only did not stop, but also let the dog continue to bite.
Zhu Yuanzhang was grumpy, and secretly said in his heart: "When I have the final say, I will kill all the people in the world with the surname Kan." ”
Later, Zhu Yuanzhang really became emperor, remembering the pain of begging for food in those years, he went around hunting down and killing people surnamed Kan, and some surnamed Kan were afraid of killing their heads, ran to remote areas, and some changed his surname.
Whether these two legends are true or not can no longer be verified, but in modern times, Kan Zhuang has had a real heroic story.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Kan zhuang village established the Anti-Japanese Joint Defense Self-Defense Force and waged an extremely arduous struggle against the invaders. Among them, the defense battle of Kanzhuang, 12 members of the team died under the butcher's knife of the Japanese, many villagers were injured, the houses in the village were burned down, and the blood flowed into a river, and the writer Wu Boxi's "A Pot of Blood" is based on the defense war of Kan zhuang, which is a true portrayal of the ordinary toiling masses in China who resisted the oppression of the Japanese army, adhered to national integrity, and safeguarded national dignity.
Kan surname is now widely distributed, especially in Jiangsu, Shandong and other provinces, the Kan surname in the two provinces accounts for more than half of the country's Kan surname population.
The genealogy of the Kan clan of Chiping Kan zhuang is divided into: Wenying Daqi Lihuai Company Commander Jin Baoxueyu Loyal Maoye Xingde Cun Rui Xiangming, which has now multiplied to the 14th "Zhong", a total of more than 30 households. Around 1960, it was moved to the northeast of many families.
