Kusosuke Natsukawa's new book, The Wood of The Beginning, tortures what modern Japanese have lost

Popular writer Kusosuke Natsukawa is famous for his series of medical novels "The Medical Records of the Gods", which has sold 3.3 million copies. At present, his novel "The Wood of Beginning" is at the top of the best-seller list in Japanese literature and art. In this work, Natsukawa Kusuke changes the routine of medical novels, and through the exploration of folklore, he tortures what modern Japanese have lost.

Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1978, After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine at Shinshu University, Natsukawa has been working in local medical work at Nagano Prefecture Hospital.

In 2009, he won the 10th Elementary School Library Novel Award for his debut novel "The Medical Records of The Gods", and thus rose to prominence in the literary world. The book was named second in the Bookstore Book Awards in 2010 and was re-nominated the following year, setting a record for the same work for two consecutive years.

Natsukawa Issei is good at using "warm stories that go straight to the heart" to explore what life really looks like, and what the so-called "living" should mean. "The Cat Who Wants to Guard the Book" is known as the twenty-first century version of the "Galactic Railway Night" because of its warm healing story, and the sentence "You are never alone, there are many people silently guarding you" in the book has aroused strong resonance among countless readers. The book received five-star praise from the book review website Reader, and was reprinted many times soon after publication, and the multilingual copyrights such as Chinese and Korean were also sold quickly, and the simplified version of the Chinese has been published by Hunan Literature and Art Publishing House.

Chika Fujisaki, the protagonist of Kusasuke Natsukawa's novel The Wood of The Beginning, is a student at Toto University in Tokyo, specializing in folklore at the Faculty of Letters.
