On the morning of October 19, Chen Wending, deputy secretary of the party committee and general manager of Southern Metropolis Daily and chairman of Shenzhen Dashi Media, led the team, and Li Rong, executive president of Shenzhen Quality Association, participated in the research, exchanged views with the relevant responsible persons of Hengyu Group, learned more about the contributions made by Hengyu Group in green development, and comprehensively assessed its economic development, ecological protection, social care, public welfare contributions and other aspects.
Gong Haipeng, chairman of Hengyu Group, introduced that since the main business shifted to real estate in 2009, the group began to actively give back to the society, with a total donation of more than 2.23 billion yuan so far, and also donated many schools and hospital buildings. "In addition to large donations, we also do one-on-one charity, such as funding one or two hundred children in mountainous areas to go to school every year; in the past five or six years, every Mid-Autumn Festival has been to comfort the anti-war veterans." When Group employees or their relatives encounter difficulties, we will also help them to solve them. ”
Gong Haipeng added: "For enterprises, having a heart to do charity is the most important. As for whether to do it big or small, it is secondary. There are many well-known philanthropic entrepreneurs around the world who turn to philanthropy after their businesses have reached a certain level. ”
Actively take the green and low-carbon route
At the symposium, Li Rong first expressed concern about carbon emissions in the construction industry. He said that as early as 2018, the State Council had approved Shenzhen's construction of a national sustainable development innovation demonstration zone, giving Shenzhen a new mission of leading the sustainable development of super-large cities with innovation. To achieve sustainable development, green and low carbon is a key word, and the construction industry is a very large carbon consumption industry, how to adapt to the changes in the industry, how to better plan the positioning of future development, for developers is a proposition worth thinking about.
Gong Haipeng responded that he warmly responded to the government's call and actively took the green and low-carbon route. "This requires us to modularly produce building materials, we use aluminum boards, not wood boards, because after the production of wood boards, the use time is not as long as aluminum boards, it will rot, can not be recycled, and aluminum boards will not produce so much construction waste."
Gong Haipeng also gave an example that when building a basement, the beams of the basement will be cut into pieces for secondary use, although the cost of doing so is the same as the cost of directly throwing away the beams, or even higher, but in order not to waste resources, they are still willing to do this. "In the construction process, all our projects are finely decorated, compared to the rough house and the delivery of each family to decorate separately, we can reduce the cost of reusing materials in a unified way."
Li Rong also gave suggestions for green development from other angles. Building a building creates a lot of carbon emissions, he said, but companies can do things to neutralize, like planting trees.
Public welfare undertakings should achieve breakthroughs from point to surface
Gong Haipeng is a "second generation", and his father Gong Junlong is the chairman of the board of directors of Hengyu Group. So we donated hospitals and schools in the hope that every penny could be really used. ”
As for how to break through the thinking mode of his father's generation to achieve innovative public welfare, Gong Haipeng said that he will achieve a breakthrough from point to surface: "My father did very specific things, such as building schools and hospitals, and in the future I may use the same resources to do some things on the surface, make a platform or system, and make it more influential." Because after all, a person's resources are limited, but if I promote it, make it into a platform, make the country aware of the benefits of this matter and even introduce policies, then the contribution to society will be far greater than donating to build a building. ”
