Who said this crazy thing? He is what Ding Wei said in the TV series "Bright Sword". It is said that Ding Wei's prototype is Zhong Wei, commander of the 49th Army of Siye.

So, who is Zhong Wei?
Zhong Wei, a native of Pingjiang, Hunan, was born in 1915, joined the regiment at the age of 14, and joined the army at the age of 15. In Peng Dehuai's Red Third Army and Xu Haidong's Fifteenth Army, he successively served as a company instructor, regimental political commissar, and director of the division's political department, and participated in the Long March.
Pingjiang County, although small, is a famous general county in China, and 63 founding generals have emerged. Zhong Wei is one of them, and has the most prestige and prestige.
Zhong Wei is good at catching fighters, and he knows that fighters are fleeting. Once he caught the fighter, he would rather risk disobeying orders than destroy the enemy first.
In the spring of 1947, Zhong Wei was appointed commander of the 5th Division of the Second Column of the Northeast Field Army, and on March 8, Lin Biao ordered Zhong Wei to lead his troops to cross the Songhua River south, preparing to march east through the patron Tun to cooperate with Dongye's first and sixth columns to surround and annihilate the first part of the Kuomintang New First Army.
Zhong Wei's troops arrived at Paoshantun (扶山屯), but found that a large number of enemy troops were chaotically retreating in the direction of Dehui. Zhong Wei immediately saw the fighter plane and quickly ordered the whole division to surround a regiment of the Nationalist 88th Division living in the tunzi.
However, on the question of whether to fight or not to fight, Zhong Wei and the political commissar divided their minds: The political commissar held that the eastward advance is the overall situation, and the orders of the superiors must be resolutely carried out and cannot be changed at will. We cannot covet immediate interests and affect the overall situation of the headquarters, and even if we win this battle, it is wrong.
Zhong Wei believes that the fighter plane is fleeting, and if the fighter plane is missed, it will not be so easy to catch it again. Disobeying orders is certainly wrong, but it is even more wrong to miss the fighter plane and affect the overall situation.
The two individuals were deadlocked, they did not give up their share, the fighter plane was about to miss it, Zhong Wei was anxious, and patted his chest: We should not quarrel about this matter, I am the division commander, I have the final say in the matter of fighting, when something happens, I bear the burden of beheading and losing my head. beat!
From 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 10, Zhong Wei received three telegrams from Lin Biao asking him to go east, and he was completely unmoved. Because he had thrown himself into the battle with all his heart, he surrounded the regiment of the 88th Division, how could he let him run! At the same time, he also saw that the enemy 87th Division was rushing to reinforcements. Again, this is an excellent fighter. While directing the battle, he reported to Lin Biao on the situation here. The center is a meaning, I have a big battle to fight on my side, and I can't carry out your orders for the time being. He also proposed to Lin Biao to send troops to reinforce.
Lin Biao listened to Zhong Wei's report and agreed to his plan as an exception.
In the end, Zhong Wei's 5th Division completely annihilated a regiment of the enemy's 88th Division, turned around and dragged the enemy's 87th Division, and with the cooperation of the first and sixth columns sent by Lin Biao, completely annihilated the Kuomintang 87th Division in one fell swoop, and won three total victories in Jiangnan.
Zhong Wei defied the order and dared to boldly command Lin Biao, and his heart was also seven up and eight down, not knowing how Lin Biao would punish him. But Lin Biao, instead of being angry, praised him well, and made an exception by promoting him directly from division commander to column commander (commander).
The soldiers of the four fields all said that the 49th Army was well equipped and full of ammunition, and that the equipment of one regiment of them had caught up with the equipment of others and one division, all thanks to Zhong Wei's brains, many ideas, and fighting.
Before each battle, Zhong Wei not only asked the soldiers to prepare guns and ammunition, but also required each soldier to load a strip of "5th Division Capture" in his pocket. After the battle was fought, look, all the loot was affixed with the "5th Division Harvest" note. Not only did they collect a large amount of loot themselves, but with this move alone, they were able to get ahead and constantly change their weapons and equipment.
Zhong Wei himself loved to play, and when he was in Northern Manchuria, as soon as the battle was over, Zhong Wei handed over the troops to the political commissar and the deputy division commander, and went back to Hagabin to dance, and when the cadres and soldiers saw that the division commander had returned, they explained that they were going to fight.
The Northeast Military Region Headquarters commented on the 49th Army in this way: "This unit is the most vigorous unit in the northeast army, with the strongest assault force, rapid progress, rich combat experience, both offensive and defensive, and is known for striking hard, charging hard, and pursuing three fiercely." He is good at mobile combat and is the first-class main force in the northeast army.
After the founding of New China, at the ceremony of conferring the all-army canon, Zhong Wei was awarded the title of major general, which made him greatly enthralled and showed dissatisfaction. In order to take care of this fierce general, the chairman deliberately let him enjoy the treatment of a lieutenant general, and he was made the chief of staff of the Beijing Military Region according to the exclusion.
At the Lushan Conference in 1959, Zhong Wei, who has always had a clear distinction between love and hatred and who could not tolerate a little sand in his eyes, directly defended Peng Zong, and his speech made the veterans present very moved, but also brought him serious consequences.
Not only was he handcuffed out of the venue on the spot, but he was also transferred to Anhui Province as the deputy director of the Department of Agriculture. It was not until December 1980 that he was rehabilitated and enjoyed the treatment of deputy post in the Grand Military Region.
Zhong Wei died in Beijing on June 24, 1984. He died on December 31, 2012 at the age of 7
