Shrub, 1-3 m tall. The twigs are cylindrical, and the young parts are covered with short villi. Leaves are opposite; petioles are 6–10 mm long; small, triangular, apical, pointed, about 3 mm long; leaves are thin leathery, oblong or oblong lanceolate, 12–18 (-25)cm long and 2.5–6 cm wide; tapering at the apex, broadly wedge-shaped or blunt at the base, and covered with short villi below.
Flowers 3-5 flowers grow in bunches on the axils of leaves; flowers are sessile; calyx-shaped, 3-4 mm long, villi, 4 lobes at the apex, lobes ovate, bent down, the edges are rolled inwards; the corolla is white or slightly blue, about 8 mm long, the corolla is about 4 mm long, the outer indumentum is hairy, the apex is 5-6 lobes, the lobes lanceolate, the apex is folded inward and thick; the number of stamens and ovary chambers is applied with the corolla lobes. The drupes are spherical, softly hairy, 5–6 mm in diameter, blue when ripe. Flowering occurs between spring and summer.
