Aquarium, some of them with trunk-like proboscisions; Some are huge, excreting food into grains of sand, and the fish's mouth resembles the beak of a parrot; Others have vampire-like fangs and prey on them with sharp teeth. The reporter learned that from September 1 to October 28, guests to resorts world Sentosa S.E.A. Aquarium will be able to get up close and personal with these strange animals at the "Ocean Adventures: Strange Fish Reveal" event held to celebrate Halloween. Among them, the bulbophyllum is one of the largest reef fish, with a length of up to 1.3 meters and a weight of up to 46 kg. The fish has a spherical bulge on its forehead and a sharp beak that it can crush corals and scrape off rocks to obtain algae that grow in its crevices. The bulbophyllum can prune corals, eat algae and parasites that compete with these corals, and play an important role in keeping coral reef ecosystems healthy. In addition, known as "sand machines," they have incredibly hard mouths and jaws that convert the coral they eat into grains of sand, which are essential for forming and maintaining islands and beaches.

The newly introduced exotic marine creature Miriam leaf snouted silverfish inhabit the depths of the dark ocean. It is named after the long elephant trunk that resembles the jaw. Its jaw is flexible and can explore shellfish, small fish and invertebrates on the seafloor. S.E.A. Aquarium is one of only a few collections of Myriad's leaf-snouted silverfish, offering guests a taste of the wonders and diversity of marine biological systems. They often appear in the shallow waters of Australia and New Zealand during the breeding season, but they spend most of their time in the deep sea at 2500 meters.

From now until October 28, kids can not only take part in a scavenger hunt to learn about the exotic species in the aquarium, but also imitate the unique behavior of these animals on the interactive stage of the "Ocean Adventures: Strange Fish Revealed" event.

Overnight stays showcase the wonders of the ocean

If guests want to spend a full and intimate family time with their children, the "Ocean Dream" overnight stay is not to be missed. At this event, guests will not only get the opportunity to visit the S.E.A. Aquarium during non-business hours, but also immerse themselves in an underwater world that is different from the hustle and bustle of the day, and enjoy the different lights of marine animals.

One of the highlights of the event was the new Manta Ray Interactive Session and the "Manta Ray Feeding Special Session", which will showcase the keepers' close relationship with the aquarium's iconic species, the manta ray. As the Deep Sea Mysteries Ecoregion showcases underwater wonders, keepers will feed manta rays with their bare hands, which have the largest brains of any fish ever found, and guests will appreciate the intelligence and curiosity of these animals, as well as the joy of their playful interactions with humans. The aim of this activity is not only to stimulate the animals mentally and senses and improve their well-being, but also to help the animal care team to safely and easily check the physical and health of manta rays.

During the guided tour, participants can not only explore the world of marine nocturnal creatures such as sharks, but also observe the rare sleep behavior of some rare fish, from fox blue fish that changes its body color to prevent predators from spotting, to green-spotted parrotfish that secrete mucus cocoons for refuge.

As you visit the reef habitat at night, participants will also see colorful coral formations. Coral is often mistaken for a plant, but it is actually an animal. The surroundings of these corals mimic the deep-sea environment, projecting blue or ultraviolet light. In this habitat, participants wearing yellow filters see more fluorescence that attracts prey.

It is understood that the latest "Ocean Dream" overnight stay now provides comfortable tents for participants to take a break when visiting the wonders of the open marine habitat, when about 40,000 marine animals will appear around the visitors, including majestic manta rays and hundreds of fish.
