In 3 years, he traveled to 5 countries to "freeze" more than 1,000 species of birds

Eagles catch fish, kingfishers flush the water... These are wonderful moments of birds in nature, and it is not easy to see them once, and it is even more unimaginable to capture them with a lens. However, Xuan Xialiang was not tired of it, carrying a photographic "cannon" and quietly waiting for the best moment when the shutter was pressed.
Xuan Xialiang, 45, is the chairman of Changzhou Huajunfeng Materials Co., Ltd. In November 2014, he loved to travel to Pam Ridge in western Sichuan, and on the way he suddenly encountered a blood pheasant with red eyes, and his cute appearance instantly touched him. "Click, click," he hurriedly pressed the shutter to shoot continuously, and suddenly felt that the birds were extremely cute.
Friends who love birds told Xuan Xialiang that there are many types of pheasants, in addition to blood pheasants, there are more than 70 kinds of green-tailed rainbow pheasants. He had a sudden idea to shoot all of these 70 kinds of pheasants. Since then, he has been chasing birds everywhere.
In doing so, he spends one-third of the year photographing birds. "Wild birds are generally more vigilant, as long as people show their heads, 90% of the birds will fly away, so if you want to capture a wonderful moment, you can only rely on crouching." Xuan Xialiang said that such squatting is often a whole day, and lunch is filled with bread. Of course, mosquito bites are indispensable, and his body is often densely packed with dozens of lumps, which take ten days and half a month to reduce swelling.
In order to photograph more birds, in less than 3 years, Xuan Xialiang went to Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, Sri Lanka, etc., and also went to Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Gansu, Yunnan and other regions in China.
In order to photograph the rare bird Hidden Sparrow, he went to the Erla Pass at an altitude of 4600 meters in Qinghai to look for it. "It's really hard to go up that mountain, and every 100 steps I take, I have to stop and take a break." Despite this, Xuan Xialiang's first trip to the summit still did not find a trace of the Tibetan sparrow. However, he was not willing to give up like this, went back and forth 3 times, and finally successfully photographed China's endangered animals and rare species of Tibetan finches.
"Sometimes I also wonder a little, put on a comfortable day, but abandon the family and go into the mosquito bite, dull and hot primeval forest, stay for five or six hours, make people wet and tired. However, at the thought of the amazing moments that could be captured, he confidently held on. ”
Drill through the rainforest, walk through the highland meadows, trek through the forest sea snowfield... Engaged in bird photography for nearly 3 years, Xuan Xialiang photographed more than 1,000 kinds of birds.
Whenever a bird lover tells him where there are rare birds, he will carefully prepare and plan the next stop. In the Hulunbuir grassland in Inner Mongolia, he braved the cold of more than 30 ° C below zero to photograph white owls; In Xiaodonggou, Altay, Xinjiang, he photographed rock thunderbirds; In Malaysia, he photographed brown-bellied swallows, howling birds...
"Most of these birds live off the beaten track, and every shot is a test and a treat for me. In order to shoot birds, Xuan Xialiang spends as much as 500,000 or 600,000 yuan a year. Moreover, due to the large amount of time spent, in the past two or three years, the company has not developed new customers, and the annual sales have remained at about 150 million yuan. However, he had no complaints or regrets. On September 20, Xuan Xialiang will set off for the next goal: Brazil. "There are 11,000 species of birds in the world, and there are more than 4,000 in Brazil." His friends are looking forward to seeing his better bird works.
