"Fish farming is raising water, and we first adjust the water well." Zhang Renyi, who is in charge of technology, told reporters that eel farming is highly effective, but compared with other fish, eels have much higher requirements for water quality, and if the water quality is not up to standard, it will cause eels to eat less, grow slowly, and even cause a large number of eel deaths in serious cases. "So if you want to raise eels well, you have to think hard." Zhang Renyi introduced that on the one hand, the base adopts standardized breeding technology to ensure the quality of fish fry, on the other hand, the quality of feed is also scientifically controlled, in addition, it is also necessary to pay special attention to the management of water quality, temperature and other elements. At present, the base adopts ecological breeding technology, puts a variety of fry in the water, and puts probiotics into the bait and water environment, coupled with the water circulation filtration system, which not only improves the growth and disease resistance of eels, but also effectively improves the breeding environment.

Develop aquaculture according to local conditions

"There are constantly merchants coming to buy, and our eels are not worried about selling at all!" Feng Suohua said that after the Spring Festival, the eels farmed in the base reached the standard and began to be listed one after another, and were sold to hotels in Haikou City. In just a few days, the sales volume reached about 4,000 pounds, bringing him more than 300,000 yuan of income, the current purchase price of the buyer in the pond is about 65 yuan per kilogram, if the delivery price is higher, a pound can be sold to 80 yuan.

"You see, I caught a lot of big eels in this net, and this one weighs an estimated seven or eight pounds." Villager Lin Zuwang said happily while collecting the net. The reporter learned that the base hired local villagers to do odd jobs, usually catch fish and weeds, and solve the employment problem of nearly 30 local farmers and villagers. Lin Zuwang came to help cast nets to catch fish, and had an income of nearly 300 yuan per day.

"The traditional breeding cycle takes five or six years, and the eels we scientifically farm can be listed in more than three years, the cycle is shortened a lot, and the quality is guaranteed." Feng Suohua said that in the future, he hopes to promote breeding technology to the whole village and bring everyone to get rich together.

"The focus of rural revitalization is industrial revitalization, and only by consolidating the industrial foundation can we stimulate the production power of farmers and ultimately achieve rural revitalization." Wu Haishan, secretary of the party branch of Daochong Village, introduced that there are many fish ponds around Yinsheng Village, which is suitable for the development of fish pond economy, and some villagers in the early days cultivated Fushou fish, but the output value was not high. At present, the village committee according to local conditions, is planning to strengthen the development of the eel industry, organize everyone to learn breeding technology, Feng Suohua's breeding base has played a positive demonstration and driving role, is expected to drive nearly 30 villagers to participate in the ecological breeding of eels, breeding area of up to nearly 200 acres.

"To accelerate the revitalization of the countryside, it is necessary to base on the diversity of local agricultural resources and the advantages of suitable climate, cultivate characteristic advantageous industries, there are many ponds near Daochong Village, water quality is good, suitable for the development of aquaculture industry." The relevant person in charge of the Agricultural and Rural Bureau of Qiongshan District said that in the next step, the district will do a good job in scientific planning, make the eel breeding industry bigger and stronger, and improve the ability of farmers to increase their income and become rich.
