This is a new activity created by Baishanzu National Park.
People who have seen the American movie "Bird Watching year" know that the bird watching competition is a competition that counts the number of bird species observed in a specified area and within a specified time. In Europe and the United States, bird watching is a very popular event.

Lishui bird watching big coffee Dao Brother, Lao Xie, Lao Song and Shannong formed two Lishui teams (2-3 people a team), and senior bird friends from Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Nanjing and other places to explore Longquan Fengyang Mountain.
It is said that in just 24 hours, their footage captured 133 species of birds!
What is this concept? Brother Dao said that the historical records of Fengyang Mountain record the number of birds as 121 species, this time it is a day beyond the historical record, and there are more than 10 kinds of birds, which are not in the historical data.

On the same day, the convoy had not yet reached the gate of the scenic spot, and there were all kinds of pleasant birdsong on the side of the road, and everyone quickly got off the car and looked out, and soon found the South China crowned willow warbler and the chestnut-headed owl warbler. In Fengyang Mountain, these are the two most abundant birds.

Some of the participating teams went to Oujiangyuan, and the strongest Wenzhou team chose to climb the main peak Huangmaojian.
Along the way, Lao Xie and I photographed two beautiful little birds, coal and little fairy peeves.
At 4 o'clock down the mountain, we met with the old Song and the mountain farmers, and went to the source of the Oujiang River together, and on the way, we saw the formation of smoke-bellied Maojiaoyan bombers flying rapidly in the air. Higher in the air there is a huge bird of prey, and when photographed, it is an eagle eagle.

In the alpine meadow at the intersection of Oujiangyuan Road, there lives a small brown bird with a ghostly head, called the alpine short-winged warbler, which is simply the nightmare of many birdwatchers. Because it can scream day and night, but it always does not show its head.

As night falls, the green hills and valleys turn into dark shadows, and the dazzling white moon leads the sky full of bright stars to form a brilliant night sky that is simply impossible to see in the city.
At this time, there were all kinds of strange bird calls from all over the place, all of which could not be heard during the day. Night is a very different world.

At 8 o'clock, we re-entered the source of the Oujiang River. Due to the low temperature, the stream was still deserted, and only one huge tadpole was everywhere. Their adults are the famous "horned monsters", the Chong'an toad, in addition to many stupid and stupid Bingzhi fat salamanders.

The night is late, the temperature drops to only 9 degrees, and the vast majority of amphibians and reptiles have not yet come out to move.
There are no snakes, but there are more powerful animals at night, and that is the beasts.
After 11 o'clock, we drove slowly on the mountain road, watching as we walked.
Suddenly, a yellow-faced animal with a long tail came out of the grass by the side of the road, a civet. The glare of the headlights made it impossible to see what was on this side, and it simply ignored the blind spot and leisurely busied itself with its own affairs, and it took a while to go up the hill.

Along the way, hares and civets kept appearing in front of the car. Near the intersection of Huangmaojian Road, a small chamois (known as a jumping chamois in Lishui) was foraging in a roadside drain, but before it could pat itself on the face, it fled like a rabbit.
After that, a cat sneaked up on the mountain road! If you can photograph felines, it will be a lot of money.
We were afraid to scare it away, so we stopped far away and did not dare to go any further. By the dim end of the car lights, look at its size, this should be an ocelot.
After the ecstasy, as soon as it turned around, I saw that it had no spots but stripes on its body. dizzy! This is not a beast at all, but a domestic cat that has run away from home.
The cat's ability is really not blown, and he can actually come here to make a living.
Out of the mountain gate, it was already 2:30 a.m. Back at the hotel, we slept only 3 hours and got up at 6:30 while the others had already left. Heartwarming news came from the WeChat group that someone saw the yellow-bellied horned pheasant, which is the only national first-class protected bird in this competition. We set off at the latest, not without harvest, Lao Xie actually found a group of macaques stealing bamboo shoots on the hill behind the hotel.

At 8:30 the next day, we entered the scenic spot and were preparing to climb the yellow grass tip, when there was a creaking brake sound on the mountain road, and I knew as soon as I heard it was Shannong's car. He drove to the front, and before he could get out of the car, he said excitedly, "I photographed the brown-bellied giant fairy bird inside the Oujiangyuan." ”

The brown-bellied giant fairy bird was only discovered in Zhejiang in 2017, and the discoverer is me, and the place is Oujiangyuan.
Later, Lao Song also photographed it here, and Shannong was the third record in the province this time - all in the same place.
This is enough to prove that the brown-bellied great fairy bird is already a stable breeding bird in the area of Oujiangyuan.
The three of us then climbed to the yellow grass tip. Huangmaojian is 1929 meters above sea level.

There are two birds worth mentioning: the brown-bellied willow warbler and the brown short-winged warbler, as well as an omnipotent strong-footed tree warbler.
